A driver insured by State Farm rear ended me on 7/30/2012.  In the beginning, they stated they would reimburse me after I send photos proving that the damages were done to my car.

A month or so later, they changed their tune and decided to deny my claim.  Claiming that I "reversed" into their driver.

Funny how they didn't tell me this a long time ago.  I would have taken them straight to Small Claims.

Fraud

AUTHOR: Andrew - (USA)

The lady who rear ended me and claimed "there was no damage" just drove by my neighborhood with a brand new bumper.  lol!

Can't believe State Farm still decided on her favor after she changed her stories at least 2 times.

No there was apparently no damage on my car, yet she got a new bumper?

I spoke with 3 different reps.  All of them stated that there shouldn't be any issue with my rental reimbursement.  2 months later, I spoke with a man who was rude and denied my claimed within 2 seconds of speaking with him.

I have yet to received their denial letter.  Looks like I will be seeing the women who rear ended me in court.

She looks pretty fly in her beat up del sol. But her bumper is brand spankin new!

Rental car reimbusement

If you have collision coverage always go through your own policy.   This way your auto insurance company fights for you.    In the case where 2 people tell 2 different stores (one person is not telling the truth), it puts the insurance company in a difficult position to take their customer's side and trust their customer is tellling the truth (even though they do not always tell the truth).

So, if there is blame, blame the problem on the other party for not telling the truth.   Always go though your own policy if you have collision coverage.  If not, small claims is your own course of action.
