State Law Group of Pennsylvania American Cash Advance Punjabi named "Jason Brown" claiming to be a lawyer threatened arrest and lawsuit for alleged payday loan Philidelphia, Pennsylvania

On 12-02-2011 I received a phone call from someone claiming to be a lawyer from "State Law Group of Pennsylvania" regarding a payday loan that they claimed I owed to a company named "American Cash Advance".  The person on the phone had a thick foreign accent and was difficult to understand.  Having never received a payday loan, I knew something was not right and began to ask questions.  Upon asking a few questions, the person on the phone got defensive and quickly said something about making a note on my file and sending it to his law partner for legal action and quickly hung up on me.  I have gotten gotten collections calls in the past and every time without fail (because I think it is a law under FCRA) they always say "This is communication from a debt collector and any information obtained will be used for that purpose".  This person never once said anything about it being an attempt to collect a debt.  The accent in which they spoke was thicker than Apu, the Indian store clerk in the Simpsons cartoon!

A few hours later they called back and below is the transcript of the call:

THEM: Hello this is (inaudible) with "A Law Group" I must speak with (my name)
ME:  This is he.
THEM: I have your file from American Cash Advance regarding your unpaid loan in the amount of $649.82.  You are being sued by them in your state and I am representing them in a legal capacity to see that you pay.  On Monday morning authorities will arrive at your house to arrest you for bank fraud.
ME: What is your name again?
THEM:  Jason Brown
ME: What is the name of your law firm?
THEM: State Law Group of Pennsylvania
ME:  What is your firm's license number or Bar association number?
THEM: (yelling) Do you want to discuss the matter for which you are being arrested or do you want to discuss professional license numbers?
ME:  I want to discuss both
THEM:  I will not provide you with any license numbers because it will not do you any good to look up our license when you are in jail.
ME:  in jail for what?
THEM:  For stealing money from Payday Cash America
 (notice the name of the company changed)
ME:  I thought you said it was American Cash Advance that hired you?  When is the court date?
THEM:  It does not matter! American Cash Advance owns and operates 44 separate payday loan companies all with similar names.  There is no court date.  You will be arrested and you will be in jail until they schedule a trial.  (yelling again) YOU ARE GOING TO JAIL SIR!  You must pay us the full amount or you will be arrested for bank frauds in your state which is felonies!
ME:  Please give me your name, address, phone number and extension with a file number or reference number so my attorney can send you a motion for discovery so he can build my defense.
THEM:  My name is Jason Brown, my phone number is 484-352-2340 extension 198.  SO are you indicating you have hired a lawyer?
ME:  Yes I have a lawyer and he will be contacting you.
THEM:  We will only discuss information on the phone so you do not need our address.
ME:  All legal actions must be in writing with proper notification to all parties involved.  When can I expect to get this information in the mail?
THEM: *click*

Chances are I will not be hearing from them anymore, but if you get a call from these people remember the following:

Do NOT agree to anything
Do NOT provide ANY bank or credit card information
Do NOT provide your social security number
All legal action requires written notification (which they do not provide because it is a scam)
