my freind was pulled over in a rutine stop by state police they probaly knew of her anyways they took her license and came back and told her that her license is revoked and she said she had cleared it up they step out and put your hands behind your back you going to jail just like that and had her car towed and threw her in a cell they had said if 300 or so bucks wasnt paided she would be going somewhere else so we called her family and her boyfreind after he got home from a long work day and he was upset and her family was disappointed with her and wasnt wanting to help her as she was in the wrong so they thought and this girl had never been to jail and was 5 months preggo off to augusta county jail till after the weekend.

Now here it is 2 months later and she gets a letter that says they made a mistake and that if she paided 30 bucks could get her license back. but what about her family who gave her money and thought low of her and all the fines and court cost all her greef and running around. nothing has resolved completely she still has a court date for driving without a license witch she clearly was not doing should she have to go why couldent she show the letter she got from the state to the court clerk and not be required to go 10 to 1 says they will say she has to go anyways i wish some decent lawyer from mass would comeup here and help some people in need of good fair services. when people make mistakes they like to be forgiven but with this case and many others they wrongfully accuse and pretend like no one was at fault and no one was hurt here basicly its like we screwed up its too bad live with it. they should have waived the 30 dollar fee atleast and they did not they basicly said we were wrong who gives a crap

Lets be fair now

AUTHOR: James - (U.S.A.)

well lets be fair and say the 2 drivers got a letter and disgarded it witch isnt possiable with my freind because he was arrested one day after it was revoked. so theres no way he could have known at that time neither with that girl by the sounds of it. Btw i dont seem to know why filing anything should have to come from a english major. ill continue to file and rebuttle on reports.

Try to use some punctuation in your reports. They would make them much easier to read and understand.

they are still doing it

AUTHOR: James - (U.S.A.)

so why are they doing this is it because of state computers are too slow??? i have a freind who was recently arrested for the same thing oas witch he had just got his license back 3 months ago and they hauled him away to the kennebec county jail just like your story the guy was passing through the little town of vasselboro maine and was arrested and the car was towed so now you gotta pay money to get the car towed use witch ever company the state police use pay for storage fees and because its thursday he might not be released till monday its just not right these people have familys too and jobs and it shouldent be up to me or anyone else to pay because someone somewhere dident feel like filing the whole police report. what if i was a missing kid and i was from maine somewhere and they whoever they is dident put that i was missing into the computer till 2 months down the road i could mean a matter of life and death its unfair as i know many who have complained they were arrested after they swore they just got out of jail or payed court fees or dmv fees. what would my boss think if i told him i was in jail and couldent make it to work he prolly would not like that maybe even fire me. even if you got papers once your arrested the court fees are tacked on and your not released until bail is payed so your boyfreind or wife or whatever bringing the paper to prove anything would not do anygood. like you say joe they will just say there was a mistake thats all down the road after you payed double the normal court fees. some people reading this will go the people deserve to be held they committed a crime most will go wheres the crime on the drivers part???

Joe,

AUTHOR: D - (U.S.A.)

Joe, PLEASE have your friend come to this site and have her give her side of the story. Because AVERYTHING that you have stated here would be considered 'HERESAY' in ANY court of law in the country. And it is quite confusing. I have feeling that IF she would come here, she would give a different version to what you said she said happened that night. We look forward to HER response.

Why was it revoked?

AUTHOR: Jennifer - (U.S.A.)

I have a couple of questions. Why was her license revoked in the first place and when was it re-instated? I ask because you said she told the officers that the matter had been cleared up. If it had been recently, it may not have hit the State Police computer yet. Did she get some sort of paper when her license was re-instated? If so, she either should have had it with her or had someone bring it down to the precinct.

Also..why did you state the the police probably knew her. Did she rack up a lot of traffic violations? If so, they jailed her as a repeat offender. Otherwise, unless a felony was involved, they would usually issue some sort of desk appearance ticket.

One last thing, why would you want a lawyer from Massachutes to take a case in Maine?
