On sunday the 18th of jan i was pulled over for speeding on I 65 in al. and within 1 minute there were three other cars in front of me pulled over and a patrol car and officer at each car that was pulled over the officer that gave me a ticket said that i was clocked going over the speed limit by an unmarked patrol car an infiniti i believe is what he said. So if this was not a speed trap where did all those patrol cars come from on a 30 second notice????in fact the one that pulled me over came onto the interstate from an exit ramp. I was passing another car on the interstate and sped up to get back into the right lane so i guess that is what the unmarked police car said was speeding. there should be some laws enacted against these unmarked police vehicles as they are like leeches and spies. If this happened to anyone else on the same day and time would they please contact me the time was 4:14 pm on the 18th of jan 2008

Another Perspective.

AUTHOR: Robert - (U.S.A.)

Were you speeding?

If so here is a little story that may put things in perspective. This is not an original story, but one I heard a while ago. It does loose a bit from trying to remember the entire story, but I think you may get the theme.
--
Duck season just opened up and there were a dozen or so hunters waiting in a blind for a flock of ducks to fly by. After about an hour the first flock flew by. Now, not all of the hunters got a duck, and not all of the ducks became dinner. But there were a few unlucky ducks. In Hunting as in Life, sometimes you are the Hunter, sometimes you are the Duck...Today you were the Duck.

Now with that said you need to check your State Laws. In most states if they are not using Radar they have to "pace" you for a certain distance. If this was your case then just passing another vehicle would not have been enough to stop you, unless it took a real long time to pass them. If they are using Radar you can dispute the accuracy of the radar calibration. Not that either of these defenses would work or even apply in your situation. But something you may want to look at.

So true

AUTHOR: Diogenes - (U.S.A.)

You were speeding. You broke the law. You got caught. You have no one to blame but yourself. So what if it was an unmarked car ? And YES, there ARE laws - AGAINST SPEEDING !!!!!
