This company is being investigated by the FBI for the last two years and the Department of Justice has file a law suit against this company, but what good is that doing me? Nothing.

POSTED: Monday, May 21, 2007Secondly, I too, am a taxpayer, not just into Soc. Sec. when I was able to work, but we all pay taxes into the system, WE pay taxes into the government; i.e. property taxes, food taxes, gas tax, sales tax, etc. you name it, taxes are taxes and it all still goes to the government. Uncle Sam just uses fancy ways of breaking down the system and will distribute our tax money the way THEY see fit. That's the cost of doing business. They take our tax money and break it down and put it into special accounts where they feel it is needed most and that usually ends up in their own pockets and incase you didn't know, our elected officials don't even pay into the system, they don't pay into Social Security.
Also, one last thing, what works for you and your mother will not work for somone else. My diet consist of eating LOTS of watermelon through out the summer season among other fruits and vegs. but there is something about watermelon that helps fight arthritis.
Thank you for your comment.

POSTED: Sunday, May 20, 2007As for the comment about not paying a dime for it, the Insurance did...WRONG! The TAXPAYERS paid for it.
As a TAXPAYER, I wish NONE of these things were paid for out of MY money. You are paying out of pocket for one, so now you get a taste of how I(and many others) feel about this issue.
Now, stop wasting your money on it, and get outside and go for a walk. There are remedies for arthritis. Yes, I have arthritis. So does my Mom. After years of dealing with prescriptions, she tried it my way, and feels much better. At 73, she mows her own lawn(over an acre and includes a pretty good hill) with a push mower. Try to keep up with her, she'll outdistance you.
Lose weight. That's #1 for eliminating pain in your lower body joints.
Join an aerobics class. Low impact motion actually helps keep the joints loose, and has a tremedous effect on your well being.
Take the supplements "lifters" use. The one I use is called Animal Flex. Weight lifting puts enormous strain on joints, so we have to take something to aid in cushioning them. The crap a Doctor prescribes is as useless as ADHD(normal children) meds, and Anti-Depressants(get up and find something to do).
Any company that promises you something for nothing is going to screw you, or someone else. Those have to be paid for by someone.
Good luck.

POSTED: Saturday, May 19, 2007Now I'm being forced to find other ways of financing a new power wheelchair from another company and on my income, that will be hard to do because I have lost everything else from my marriage. The Scooter Store still has Medicare convinced that it is normal wear and tear on the unit. BULL! I don't even have that unit anymore as my husband tried to fix the gears himself, and I'll give him credit for trying because he almost had it working, but I'm still without the power chair. I've had to sit on the floor and push and pull myself from point "A" to point "B" all week long and even this is not easy when you've got arthritis in your hands too. Someone needs to straighten this out. The power chair unit I had was to be used for indoor use only, what is wrong with that picture!
People, PLEASE, stay away from The Scooter Store!
