As with many things, there are no guarantees but, I must also say, there is a GREAT problem with what you presented verses realistic expectations and the results. My partner and I have dedicated 10-12 hours per day, yes, 10-12 hours per day, a minimum of 4 days per week, searching out the sites you gave us, reading and searching further.
We have tried looking for dropshippers and sadly, this is what we have found. If they are in the USA, they do NOT want to deal with Canada or the fees are so high, we can't get in. If we! wanted to SEE what a dropshipper is offering, you have to pay the USA FEE first to gain access to see what they are selling and then see if you can find a product, such is the case with Doba. What was presented and what is happening with us, is not what was presented.
As I stated, we were expecting to work, to put in the effort but, for example, the site given to us, Alibaba, most of the listings there are in Asia and want orders that are unreal, dollar values that we do NOT have, minimum shipment s of thousands of one piece and when we went "Geo" to find someone in our location, being that of the entire country of Canada OR the USA that would deal with us, the result was NIL.
Now for the other portion of this story. We decided to contact the ECI folks that have our E-commerce site, what we discovered was quite different then what you sold us. They told us we have to have a separate account for each website and that there are FURTHER FEES beyond the $900+ USD that we already forked over in St Catharines. And we have to have a business account set up for the funds to go into.
Depending on what we are selling and the dollar value, there could be a hold on our funds for upwards of 30 days. Which when translated would me, we are out of business before we get going, especially if we were to carry any jewelry as we had thought and been looking into. The gentleman that spoke with us individually, NEVER mentioned any of these facts to us when we sat with him and when I SPECIFICALLY ASKED if there were any further fees, he stated only the fees when you sell, such as the percentage etc. similar to having a Visa machine. This we understood completely and it goes 100% against what the folks at ECI explained to us.
And now, saving the best for last. Then we have the folks who called us up in June, just down the road from you, first there was Cody Smith that spoke to us, leaving a message on my machine that he was from (mumble mumble) Stores On Line and they were interested in "hand pic! king" a number of people to work with in exchange for testimonies and if we were interested AND met the criteria, we could be chosen!!
WOW!! we thought, okay, we are in a bit of a competition here to get some REAL help! Not so fast; on the last evening of the phone calls, we spoke to the mystery man who would make the final decision if they wanted to work with us, if we were "chosen". His name was Mr Steve Sutton and we discovered that night that he was with Business Development Division an d NOT directly affiliated with Stores On Line but, a separate company down the road in Utah.
He then explained to us how they wanted us to PAY THEM between $7-$10 THOUSAND US Dollars to give us that "help" they mentioned and get our businesses (sites) up and running for us. Cody never mentioned this beyond the exception of the money needed to get the sites running, we thought it would be less and then, when we asked Mr Sutton to break it down for us, $3000 of that total ! $7000 was going into the site, they were going to pocket a quick $4500 .00 for "helping us" after we were "chosen".
When I asked Mr Sutton about this, he explained that he was sorry if Cody wasn't clear, no he was clear, we were made to feel like we were in a COMPETITION to see if THEY wanted to work with us for our testimony, as I stated to him, "you scratch my back, I scratch yours" scenario and he never stated there was any money until the end of our 3rd or 4th conversation. I DO feel that we have been misled, that we WERE sold a bill of Goods that might work in the USA but, it is not happening here and certainly, not for lack of trying.
As I said, we have searched, we have gone through the websites, etc. everything we read, were told and watched on the CD's, we have done and the results are NOT happening. THERE ARE NO DROPSHIPPERS available in Canada, as they would have you believe, none that we could find and yes, we did pay for some sites and found many dead links and companies that offer Dollar Store Items.
