I became member of ignite about three years ago a good friend of mine got me involved we are still friends but they and I lost other friends because of this scam. I went to the meetings I had the cards printed I managed to get a few people interested but most were happy with the company they were using and some even told me that theirs was cheaper.

then about two years ago I bought a house I called stream in December and requested that they turn on electricity at the new house and since i was moving myself asked that they turn off electricity at the old house at the end of january. then I went on a short Christmas vacation and came back ready to move exept the old house had no power. I called stream and was told that they understood that I had wanted to turn off power in December. I again stated that I wanted the power turned off at the end of January and after 4 or 5 days I had power again.

I got moved and thinking that I had been pretty clear about turning off the power in January I made the mistake of assuming I was dealing with a honest company. My mail was forwarded to me from the old house and since the new house was a little bigger the higher bill did not bother me at first so i paid it even though the old address was on the bill thinking it would take a while to process. about the third month in the new house I recieved three bills on the same day all with the new address on them they all were different amounts so I called to find out what happened and that is when I got the whammy.

not only did they not turn off the electricity at the old house in January as i had asked but they had continued billing me for power someone else was using. and according to my old landlord the new people had tried to switch the power into their name and it was refused. but they had withheld billing me at the new house for some reason for three months and were now telling me I was behind on my payments and if i did not pay immediatly they would cut my power. I went to www.powertochoose.org and found out that they were nowhere near the cheapest electric out there and found another company who would connect me in about four days. so switched and ended up running on my generator for a while.
