Back in October 2011, I received an ad through Stroll advertising a word Master one month trail , guaranteed to help you learn strong English words. I decided to check the trail and waitied for about one month and I didn't received it.I contacted Stroll and they explaiend they will send the trail and I will have two months to try it. I almost didn't order because of all the confusion. I paid for the trail $9.9 for shipping as stated.
December 21, 2011 after I receiving the CD's, I tried contact stroll by phone and email several times in order to return the package because this was not what I expected. They kept me on hold for more than 15 minutes. I returned the package by mail and after one month the package was returned to the Mail box office because it was wrong address. I stopped my credit card and waited them to contact me, and more that 4 months, there was nothing, I almost forget about it.
Yesterday: May3d_2012 I received a letter and card from them dated April 30, 2012 saying they have been trying to contact me!!!! If they had tried to call me, they left no messages. Their card gave me a warning about hurting my credit, they made it look like they have my Social Security - which I never gave them. The number they listed for the billing department was the same number and no extension.
I responded with the following a phone call and explained to them that
I placed my trail order through Stroll to benefit from word master program for myself. I did this because it was needed to improve my writing reports to the Stat of Texas to help refugees and kids in USA. I wasn't able to use this program because each time my manager reviews my report he talks to me about the words I used from the CD's , saying : this is old words, we are not using these words any more. I tried to call stroll several times and was no response and the package is still like new and I don't want it.
All I've received is the pk cds - which you did charge my credit card $9.9, and now you asking me to pay $236 or you going to hurt my credit.
If you try charging me for this, or sent to any kind of collections, I will place a complaint against you through the BBB, the Dept. of Consumer Affairs, Newsmax and any other agency I can think of. This is bull and you have no right to try to charge me for something I didn't use and something and something that I sure don't need.
If I don't receive a response from you tomorrow, I will be calling and starting complaints on your company for trying to rip me off and sending false information that will affect my credit!
The representative respond back:
you can't return it anymore and we will place collection on my credit.
This is insanity!
