Wrong Website

POSTED: Thursday, January 10, 2013The correct website for Stuart Lee Rebates is:
http://www.stuartleerebates.com/
Note the "S" at the end of the URL. The site the consumer used (stuartleerebate.com) is a placeholder or a splog (spam-blog) and has nothing whatsoever to do with the Stuart Lee Rebates company.
Had the consumer used the correct site, they would have been easily able to check the status of their rebate. The box to begin the process is right there on the front page.
This is an example of why "Ripoff Reports" can be dangerous. Here, an upset consumer slammed Verizon, CostCo, the rep, and the rebate company in one complaint, when in reality the issue was that the consumer was unable to read and follow simple directions.
This should also be a lesson for small businesses who are registering domain names and building websites. ALWAYS register both the singular and plural versions of your domain and direct one to the other so you don't lose traffic because of a typo. This is a common problem. I would also register and re-direct any common misspellings of your company name. Register all of the common roots .com/.net/.org/.biz and .info.
