This is a historical black college. I am a student in the Computer Science department and I am very disappointed at the diversity of instructors. I will be leaving next term due being totally disappointed. I want to see more black men and women instructors. I’m tired for being taught by an crusty old white guy and a bunch of immigrants that are cumulative of Chinese, Hindus, and an array of people from the middle east region. They don’t care about the “black student” period. These “immigrants” can barely speak English and really don’t care about the black student. They are there for the check only and to move on, but then again, if I came from a third world country I would probably only care about just getting a check too.

African American administration need to start transplanting qualified black American instructors to teach “black children”. Black people need to start taking care of black people and quit outsourcing higher education of predominantly black students to immigrants who have no standards with regards to hygiene, professionalism and respect of others especially the female gender. These Computer Science immigrant instructors need to be transplanted by qualified black American instructors.

Not a Cry for Equality

AUTHOR: HigherEdDude - ()

This is not crying for equality and is far from spewed garbage. This is a common problem among many HBCU’s where Math and Computer Science is pretty much outsourced. Yes, I want to be taught by black instructors, black just like me, but there are very few, which is a problem because I look to black instructors as role models. It has nothing to do with racism either, because once again, this is a common problem at HBCU’s. I live in North Carolina and I am now transferring to either UNC or NC State and I have done my due diligence this time because I want to be taught by the “best teachers”, and a few of them happen to be black.

What a crock

AUTHOR: Terrance - ()

Many African Americans are crying for equality, then people like you spew garbage.  What would you say if a white person filed a complaint about being taught by black teachers?  You'd be beating your chest and crying "racist."  Do you want to be taught by the best teachers, or the best BLACK teachers?  If you want to be treated as an equal in this world, then treat others that way.
