We purchased based on advertizement on Pual Harvey and friends who had one. Received ours in 6 weeks from online order and credit card charge! Customer Service could never find order till it showed up. I reached customer service after trying four 800 numbers they use in ads. The number listed here is the direct line to CS. 866-650-9775 Worked ok the first week and then "fan" crapped out. They say they have updated electronics - BULL! Made in China - CHEAP CHEAP! No better than $45 heater off Walmart. Sent product back insured via UPS costing $36.00. We received a full product refund in less than five days with no issues.

Note in thier paperwork they say bulb will only last ??? hours - or about 1 year under normal use - bulb is $150 from them.

Say your heart burn and move on - Shame on Paul Harvey and others in allowing them to sponsor their shows.

edenpure heater works well

AUTHOR: kathy - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, December 10, 2010

This will be our 3rd winter using an Edenpure heater.  We have never had a problem with it and it has worked well for our home.  We live in New England and this heater gets used consistently from approx mid November through mid April.  When we first bought the heater the salesperson told us that to get the best results we should not run it constantly at the highest temperature.  He told us that the best way to maximize heater usage was to keep the heater at approximately mid level(6 lights).  He was right.  Maintaining a mid level temperature assures that the heater will not overheat and will run efficiently.  My electric bill only increased by about $45 as opposed to the $160 from our old electric heater which was only 1 year old.  Making sure the filter in back is clean and that there is nothing blocking the flow of air is important.

We like this heater so much that we have just purchased another one.  I particularly appreciate the fact that this not that awful dry air that you get from other heaters.  We have a small cape and this heater heats at least 3 rooms and allows us to lower the thermostat substantially, which, in turn, allows us to save on oil.

i dont think your speaking of the same company...i work for them and our heaters actually do really well. our bulbs for the model 1000xl last 3 to 5 years and are 59 dollars for a 6 pack since there are 6 in the unit...im confused on where you got that price from...
