While returning a Thrifty Rental Car to their Milwaukee, WI airport location and in the garage trying to manuever to go towards their office, slight damage (Under $400) was done to the vehicle. This was on 18-May-2006. Less than a month later, Thrifty has turned the case over to Subrogation Management Team (SMT) in Texas. I have disputed their claim because the damage was caused because Thrifty employees had not provided sufficient clearance in their garage to get the vehicle into the return lane. In addition to the body shop's charges, SMT has added charges for 3 days that the car was out of service and a $100 fee. The forms that SMT sent basically just want payment and I was told that after thirty (30) days, they will report a negative item to the credit bureau(s). Pay or get screwed.

You have the right to ask for "payment received" and as far as the lost income. Have them prove the vehicle was in the shop all the days they claim. Call the shop yourself and ask about the length of time it took to repair. As far as the Administrative fee, have the company prove what that fee is for. Call the rental location, what do they charge and why? File with the attorney general in both states.
Hope it works out
