I purchased this unit from Target, below is a video of our baby monitor starting to smoke/catch fire. Scary,we had it plugged in overnight and woke up to this! and it started to smoke and this is the email they sent me back.

"if you would not feel comfortable using this type of a monitoring system and if you would like to replace this item with anything at all from our website of comparable value we can certainly extend that offer to you. I assure you this is absolutely not a common issue"
