A business broker is a company that sells existing businesses to interested and qualified buyers, in much the same manner that a Realtor would sell a house.
When a business that is listed with Sunbelt is sold, Sunbelt will collect a commission. This is standard business operation with ANY business broker or real estate broker.
HOWEVER... after Sunbelt Business Brokers get a listing, THEY DO NOT ATTEMPT TO SELL THE BUSINESS FOR THIER CLIENT!!!
Why do I say this? Because I AM A QUALIFIED BUYER!!!
I have contacted their office several times in an attempt to purchase a business that they listed for sale. They requested that I send in some personal information about myself, which I did. They NEVER responded. I called the FRANCHISE HEADQUARTERS in South Carolina BEGGING for Sunbelt to SELL ME A BUSINESS, and THEY NEVER RETURNED THE CALL!!!
Please note, that OTHER BUSINESS BROKERS that I have contacted were more than willing to assist me!!! I AM A QUALIFIED BUYER.... NOT SOME "WANNABE" OFF THE STREET.
This is a form of EXTORTION, because the business owners sign forms that state that Sunbelt Business Brokers will collect a commission when the business is sold, and it doesn't matter if Sunbelt attempts to sell the business or not!!!
It is OBVIOUS that SUNBELT BUSINESS BROKERS of Las Vegas, nor Sunbelt Business Brokers Headquarters DOES NOT RESPOND TO INTERESTED AND QUALIFIED PARTIES!!!!
If you are interested in listing your business for Sale, DO NOT LIST IT WITH SUNBELT!!!

I have worked for Sunbelt in Las Vegas for over 5 years. They have a stellar reputation and are excellent about responding to buyers who are interested in opportunities. The Las Vegas office is one of the top 10 offices in the country with regards to closed sales. We only sell businesses by responding to potential buyers they do not sell without significant marketing and communications. They also advertise significantly more than their competition and always do an independent valuation to ensure that the business is priced in a range that it can sell. I really do not know why a buyer or seller would look anywhere else. With regards to the complaint that they do not respond to buyers. Without quick and professional responses we would not be in business. There are times when we receive a profile of a buyer and the information lacks the proper contact information. We call or email and get no response. However, that happens very seldom and our office is easy to find. We are happy to meet face to face with any interested buyer or seller. Frankly, this complaint has no basis in fact. Just try and contact us and you will see that someone will speak to you immediately or respond within one business day at the most. We normally have 3 to 4 individuals in our offices available to speak to any buyer or seller during business hours.
