I contacted Crystal of Sunny Terrace Kennels on December 30th, 2012 regarding possibly purchasing a puppy. I heard back from her in a matter of hours with information. On January 5th, I made the purchase of a puppy and paid in full upfront (cost of the puppy, shipping and a fee to get her spayed before she was shipped). After I had paid I still had many questions regarding the puppies status, shipping information as well as paper documentation and vaccinations. After continuous emails I would get a response back after about a week.
The puppy was to be flown to Calgary, Canada (6 hours away from my house) on January 29th. After arriving in Calgary on the 28th, Crystal emailed us saying the puppy would not be arriving until the 30th. As a result we stayed the extra day in Calgary costing us more money.
The puppy arrived and all was well. We made the drive back home and settled in. We noticed right away that there was no scar from her spay surgery, but waited until we took her into our veterinarian to see about that. We took her on February 2nd and our vet was not convinced she was spayed. I contacted Crystal and sent pictures or the puppies belly showing that there was no scar. After that, there was no response for days. I got my boyfriend to email her asking about purchasing a puppy and she replies within hours. She made an excuse that her phone was stolen and she missed emails (that would still be on her computer). We told her that we were together and wanted answers. At this point she said that she sent the wrong dog and the dog is not spayed (her health certificate says she is spayed).
We said that we would just get refunded the spay fee and get her spayed with our vet, Crystal agreed. We have been sending daily emails requesting our refund for the spay fee, but she has failed to reply to any of our emails. At this point it is now March and we want this to be done, but we want our spay refund in order to get her spayed here.
Everything about this process has been a disaster. The communication has lacked, the shipping screw up has cost us extra money; we got sent the wrong dog and have not received our refund after almost a month of waiting, and all of the paperwork sent with the puppy is wrong. I would NOT do business with Crystal and Sunny Terrace Kennels again. I would also recommend to others not to use this business.
