We, too, joined an enormous amount of others in buying a timeshare from these people. We anticipated getting some rental return or at least some appreciation in value as did others. We soon realized we were not to be so rewarded. Unlike most, we did not try to cancel...We bought in mid 2005 and are still paying on our contract.

We do not anticipate being able to get rental money or sell our timeshare. Our question for you out there is: Has anyone stopped making payments, without being legally encumbered by the Club Lagoon people? I understand there have been threats, but has anyone actually had collectors come to their homes, or legal action taken by Club Lagoon? I'd like to just stop paying, take my losses and forget this whole mess.

Don't buy a timeshare from these people.

I am an owner of a timeshare since 2000. I actually forgot about timeshare after my divorce. We never used it for ten years. Had a house fire and lost all the paperwork and then bam! Yes I did have a collection agency come after me for back maintenance fees. I have paid in full again and again have not received a maintenance fee bill. I have no contact information and when I google I can not find any contact information? I am now going to try to write them to make a reservation. I am so frustrated with their lack of contact over the years. I never received an RCI Book, Brochures, sales information. Maybe would have used it more if I would have had some contact or website??
