I have to hand it to onlingo for starting a dodgy marketing sting in the e-commerce neighborhood. They nickel and dime the customers with fees, and purposely don't train their customer service staff so they always play dumb. Wow what a setup.

In forty five days Onlingo sent me three packages and hit my bank account for $76.90 times 3. First reaction to this onslaught of retail dumping was to cancel and send the product all back, since it is unopened, and in my ROG file at this time. It turns out "The trial offer" I find out is not for thirty days, it is for 10 days. I suppose if I am not fluent in Italian by the tenth day they can hit my bank account and send another unwanted phase two onlingo stuff, so the timing is re-explained to me this day. Shame on me once.

I called the support@onlingo 800-949-6880 and was put on the defensive immediately. The manager could not refund the $76.90, nor the price of unwanted merchandise. Instead I am supposed to eat the scat of onlingo.com and receive $60 credit, or a whopping $16.90 loss, 22 cents on the dollar, for merchandise never ordered, removed from my bank account with what authority ?... okay so I then ask for the complaint form that is included in every contract. A form that should be in the fine print on the back of the agreement. The Manager at support@onlingo.com began reading the contract to me... only he/she failed to mention the re-stock charges, shipping fees, and other high costs of doing business with onling.com. So as I complained more about the inconsistencies and asked, no demanded the complaint service listed in our contract, they threatened me and called me names.

I wish I could just return the packages and wipe the account clean. But this is explained to me that I am stuck with these useless programs one and two.

Here is part of the actual e-mail I received from the support@onlingo.com today in response to "why are you guys sending me all this unwanted stuff?:

"... Per your request, your subscription to Onlingo's Language series is cancelled. We encourage you to keep Levels 3 for the discounted rate of $29.95. You save $40.00 over the regular price. If you accept this offer the $40.00 difference will be refunded back to your account. Why spend money on postage or go through the trouble of sending it back when your account can be refunded today? For $29.95, you will learn numbers, letters, greetings and other fundamentals while traveling the world with Onlingo.

If you prefer, please return the Onlingo Level 3, and we will credit your account $60.00 ($69.95 less a $9.95 restocking fee). The RMA number provided below must be on the outside of the package for you to receive a refund. Also, your return must be received within the next two weeks.

Please ship back the entire product to:

RMA#: 247760
PO Box 1566

Rip-off, I hope this is a report you and your readers can use. PD
