I used Sure advance for a loan.  They have been consistently taking their interest of $90 every 2 weeks. I ran into some major financial difficulties with medical issues and I was in threat of having my utilities turned off.  I called to make arrangements to pay the debt.  When I found that I would not have the payment I promised because I needed to pay my gas bill, I received a phone call from a supervisor who did not identify himself but said the company name  and started yelling telling me I don't know my priorities and I haven't paid in 2 weeks and they aren't working with people that don't pay, he would not let me say a word, he just continued his insults and then hung up on me.

I called back and talked to Laura who was just as rude and I told her I could pay it in full but not for 2 weeks and she said "ok so I will flag it as refusal to pay".  I said record the call, I'm not refusing to pay and you have been receiving all your interest payments that is more than the $500 loan I received and now want to charge me $900! So I told her since she was unwilling to be professional and work with me, then do what needs to be done.  She told me I was irresponsible and should know as an adult what my priorities are.

Obviously, no one takes these loans unless they are in trouble and you are over a barrell.  I was injured and my priority is my family my money went to rent, electic before it was turned off and gas which was turned off. I explained I had to use the money I planned on paying them for the gas because of my daughter.  She told me even if they gave me 2 weeks, I would just have another story for them.  I can assure they are not certified ACA collection people and how they talk, they certainly are not educated in law and the rights of others.  whatever you do- do not take a loan from them.  I've never dealt with such ignorant people in my life.

I'm getting ripped off by them to.

I wanted to get a 1500 dollar loan from this place, so I called and they said they could not approve the loan. Then they called me back the next day and said they could give me $1,000. They said the other $500 was for fees. But now I am stuck into a huge loan at about 200% interest! I had a ton of other bills to, which $1,000 was not even enough to put a small dent in all of my bills. So I made a hasty decision to get this loan. That was only because my bank and a few other places would not loan me any money and I was desperate. Now I am having several other financial problems and I'm filing Chapter 7 bankruptcy. I am not going through a Lawyer, I am using a Paralegal instead, because it is much cheaper. My initial paperwork is done, now I just have to wait until I get paid from my very low paying job, then I will take it to court. I called Sure Advance and told them that I'm filing bankruptcy and I need to cancel my auto pay to them. They said they can't do a stop payment on my account at this time, not until I go to court and get a case number. Then I need to call them back with it.

They said that's the only way to stop the allotment from going put from my bank. My bank said they can't cancel the allotment either and I have to stop it by contacting the company.

My Paralegal is the one who told me to cancel all my bank allotments.

Now they intend to take another payment out of my bank account on the 5th of Oct. Which I guess will not be really bad, considering I am filing bankruptcy. After I file, they won't be able to take anymore money out of my account, because Chapter 7 will wipe it away along with everything else and it will be illegal for them to take anymore money out of my acct.

Originally they said they would wait one month before they started taking payments, but, they started taking money out of my acct a month early! They also took more money then they were supposed to take. Now they are taking $190 a month.

Now thee are charging me for a 1,500 dollar loan, but they only gave me $1,000. That in itself is a rip off, not to mention the ridiculous interest rate!

For me, I don't have to worry too much after next month, because I'm going to go file bankruptcy. However, I don't recommended that you file bankruptcy, because it a scary, bad thing to do.

However, I do suggest, first: Close your current bank account. Secondly: Call the Better Business Bureau and report them.

One other thing: Rip off Report is not the only site like this on line where you can submit reports like this, complaining about and reporting companies like this. ROR, however, is one of the most popular sites that I know of, and it's free. So this is a good starting point for you.

If you Google: "business complaint sites", or something similar, you will get tons of similar sites. The more places you list this, the more people will know.

How To Get Sure Advance To Stop Taking Your Money

AUTHOR: dimediva - (United States of America)

For those you have been ripped off by Sure Advance.

As a former employee they are exactly what you said they are theives. They try and tell people that they are bond to the loan because they signed the loan agreement. That is not correct. They purposely send agreements to the emails of people applying on line for payday advancements and as soon as the person opens the mail the document records your IP address and states that it is your electronic signature. And then your right they can never send you a loan doc with a signature on it. Because there isn't one.  On top of that they are very nasty when speaking to people over the phone as there staff is full of people who don't have customer service skills or training and most place that are professional would never hire theese people. Unfortunetly I was not aware of that until after I got hired.. However if anyone is stuck in a loan and has paid for that loan ten times over. Contact the Attorney General of the state of Delaware where the company is based. By law if the attorney general gets to many complaints about the company they will be investigated and more then likely shut down. So make sure you contact him. Good Luck !!!!
