 We purchased 2 puppies from her in early 2006 at her facility at Tehachapi California. At the time we found her premises to be clean and her golden retrievers who greeted us appeared to be well kept, healthy, and good condition. The puppies were being cared with love.

This is NO PUPPY MILL! We came for one and went home with two. A brother and sister. They were marvelous English Cream Goldens. Our female passed a way at age 12. Our male is now14 Yrs old as of July 2020. These are the most gentle of dogs and sweet with children. As a old customer, we are very pleased and refute the negative commentary.

Our Sandar dog, who we loved as a dear member of our family, recently died at age 4 due to Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia.  I look back and begin to question the puppymill breeding practices of Jennifer Arn.  When we went to her place, she had two litters and over 82 dogs on site (by her own admission).  While most appeared to be physically okay, we didn't see more than about 30 while we were there.  Keeva came to us as a two year old, underweight and poorly socialized--Jennifer reduced the price for her because she hadn't had time to work with her.  Keeva had little contact with humans and I spent over a week gaining her trust.  She needed quite a bit of socialization to cope with the world around her.  Being a true Golden, Keeva began to love people and soaked up all the love we had to give her like a thirsty person in the desert.  She loved her dog and cat friends too.  After a good quality diet and vitamine suppliments, she gained weight and a healthy coat.  One of the most beautiful little (she was only 42 lbs) goldens I and my friends had ever seen.  She was pretty healthy for the 2 years we had her until last December she exhibited the disease AHA and we spent $1000+ getting her back into good health.  The desease returned with vengence the following April (2014) and we couldn't save her this time.  It is so sad when you loose a young, promising dog to such a vicious disease. 

While it is hard to say specifically that this disease was the result of poor breeding, I would not recommend this breeder to anyone looking for a Golden puppy.  I should have followed my instincts (I should know better) but I fell in love with Keeva when I saw her.

Our old Golden died Feb 4, 2002 and while out a few days later, I saw a beautiful Golden Retriever and struck up a conversation with the owner.  I found out the breeder was Jennifer Arn, got her number from the dog owner and called her right away.  A litter was being born as I was speaking with her.  The next weekend I drove out to Rosamond from Hermosa Beach and was so impressed with the clean conditions of her place and the number of dogs who were all happy and healthy.  I come from a medical background and know what depressed, unhealthy animals look like and this was not the case.  Jennifer also had a nice mix of other animals on the property giving her very large place in Rosamond a farm like feel to it.  I got the impression that Jennifer put all she had into the care and upkeep of her dogs and other animals and I was in awe of how well she kept the place up and her geniune concern for the dogs.  They all had names and she talked with them.  I made a deposit for a reasonable price and returned when the pups were 7 weeks old.  We talked on the phone several times before I returned and for the next year after that concerning her move, getting AKS papers, etc.

I have just sent Jennifer an email today because we will be losing our Sam soon and I want to reconnect with her to see how she is doing and what puppies she has available within the next 6 months.  That's how I found this report against her.  She may have had some dealings with the law, but it was never as someone who didn't care about her dogs.   THey were her life when I knew her 11 years ago.  The writer sounds like someone with a grude who wants to hurt Jennifer in the most effective way possible, which would be to tarnish her business reputation.  But like me and the dog owners before me who have bought dogs from Jennifer, we know it's a load a crap they are saying about her.

I just bought a golden from Jennifer Arn of Sandar Goldens. I went to her home on two occasions during our investigation and purchasing process. I will agree that she does have many dogs at her property. On the other hand, I was overly impressed at the operation she has going on there. All of her dogs are extremely well behaved and kept clean. Her facility is well managed and has hired help on a daily basis. She truly has a passion for these dogs and is what I would call a purist. She breeds only her best dogs and donates the pups who do not meet the OFA health certification to a rescue.

The rescue in turn sells those dogs to help fund thier organization. I am extremly happy and impressed with our puppy Piper. She is absolutely adorable and incredibly intelligent. We are in the potty training phase and have found Piper to be catching on quite quickly. I think she will have it completly down in a week no more. She catches on to things and patterns in 2-3 occasions and is eager to please. She loves being around everyone in our family and is turning out to have all of the qualities and personality traits that were hoping to have in a dog. I do not regret for one moment buying a puppy from Jennifer Arn and would highly recommend her to anyone who wants a golden retriever.

We purchased a 1+ y.o. Sandar Golden female a few months ago from Jennifer.  While I was taken aback at the number of dogs in her kennel, they appeared to be in good health and were well kept.  Jennifer gave us a discounted price on our girl due to the fact that she was no longer a puppy.  The one we picked out was quickly groomed and micro chipped and ready to take home.  We took her to the vet when we got home and there were no problems with her health--not even worms.  Other than extreme shyness at first, our little girl came out of her shell in about 5 days with gentle loving handling and is now a confident, loving, beautiful dog and gets along with our other dogs and cats nicely.  I do not regret our purchase.  Jennifer was perhaps one of the most concerned breeders I've met.  Like a previous poster, she called a few days after we brought our Golden home and we stayed in touch for a few months after that.  I would return for another Sandar Golden in the future.

Even the worst breeder on the planet will produce a few problem-free dogs just by the luck of the draw! Sue may have "made mistakes" but there are DOZENS if not HUNDREDS of other breeders who have managed to keep their npses clean! I maintain she does NOT deserve defending and should be put out of dogs permanently.

I have dogs from Jennifer Arn. I believe she wants the best for her dogs. She interviewed me thoroughly before selling me a 1 1/2 year female. She informed me that the dog was very shy and had been returned to her. She was very concerned that I would know how to bring out a shy dog.

She gave me a written guarantee that if the dog did not work out, she would provide me with the puppy of my choice or another adult that she would have available. She provided me with all pedigrees and health certificates regarding the pedigree of the dog and the dog itself, parents, etc. She called me 4 days after I brought the dog home to make sure everything was fine and we were happy with the dog and she was adjusting well.

Maybe she made mistakes in the past, but I feel that she is working hard to make up for them, and I have a beautiful, well-trained 1 1/2 year old adult female that is a dream dog which I chose after viewing many of her dogs and puppies. She does in fact have her AKC certification now and provided me with AKC papers for the dog I purchased from her as well as all health certificates regarding the dog and its parents.

Give her a chance, people make mistakes and can change. If people were condemned for the rest of their life because of one mistake, we would all be in great trouble. My husband is a very well known attorney in Los Angeles and his uncle before him was a famous attorney and dog lover who through his life owned many dogs until their death. He died at 89 and never married, the only children he had were his dogs.

We know a lot about dogs and dog breeders and we think Jennifer is AOK and will not judge a person because of their past indiscretions. There was a famous person who said, "There are not mistakes in life, just learning experiences".

I know many other people who have healthy dogs from Jennifer who referred me to her. You know, I have walked away from breeders also who did not appeal to me, nor their methods. I thought Jennifer cares about her dogs. Also, as far as I am concerned, you can consider ANY breeder a puppy mill, otherwise why wouldn't they just give their dogs away as gifts to people who wish for a great companion.

Most people who breed dogs are in it for some type of compensation, otherwise the price of dogs would not be so high. Also, dogs who end up in rescue is not the fault of breeders, it is the fault of irresponsible owners who do not properly choose the right breed of dog for their family and personality, and then do not get the dog properly trained, then the dog ends up in the pound. That is not the breeder's fault.

I HAVE ALSO WORKED FOR JENNIFER ARN AS A KENNEL ASSISTANT AND KNOW FIRST HAND THAT SHE IS TRAILER PARK TRASH. SHE IS KNOWN TO BE THE MOST UNETHICAL GOLDEN RETRIEVER BREEDER IN THE CALIFORNIA.

SHE BREEDS DOGS WITH BAD HIPS... SHE WILL BREED DOGS THAT ARE ONLY 7 MONTHS OLD... SHE KEEPS HER DOGS SUPER THIN BECAUSE SHE WANTS TO ECONOMIZE ON DOG FOOD... MANY OF HER PUPPIES LEAVE FOR THEIR NEW HOMES WITH HEALTH PROBLEMS...

BUYERS OF HER PUPPIES HAVE COME BACK TO THE KENNEL COMPLAINING ABOUT THE HEALTH OF THEIR NEW PUPPY AND SHE WILL NOT REFUND MONEY TO THEM... THIS WOMAN IS THE MOST UNETHICAL PERSON WHO ONLY CARES ABOUT MAKING MONEY.

She was arrested for running an illegal kennel but pled out to Fish and Game violations for having bobcats in her freezer. Sorry for the mis-information.

I was an employee of this kennel for over two years.I saw nothing but the highest quality of care,breeding and veterinary care given to her dogs.She has been reported to Kern Co. Animal Control numerous times,perhaps by the person that filed this false report.They came out and found the kennel and premises to be way above the accordance of their laws. I have seen first hand a puppy mill and reported them.They were shut down as they should have been.The filth and appalling neglect and abuse to these animals should never be ignored or over looked.I have seen Jennifer go through the expense,time and effort to save one pup in a litter.A puppy mill will not spend any money on a puppy! She grooms and gives the best of care to her dogs.I can testify and give my name,can the accuser do the same? She only gave her name as "first hand witness". Is she a disgruntled breeder trying to eliminate competition because her dogs are inferior?
