I Sent a deposit to Susan Harrie for 2 year old lilac point with white Sphynx male named Anderson . She agreed to hold him till April . I Sent the deposit on 1/14/2008 -She listed him for sale on 1/14/2008 even tho she knew I was sending a deposit . She recived deposit 1/17 ,and deposited it on 1/22/2008
The check cleared my account on 1/25/08.All of this time He still remained listed as being for sale.
I recived email's from people she offerd this cat to after she knew I was sending a deposit,and after she recived the deposit . I ask her quite a few time's why she still had him for sale ,and her awnser was the check has not cleared yet . (I have proof that it had )
On 1/28/08 I told her I needed by deposit back the # 1 reason being that she would not remove the ad ,and also I did need the money however I never once told her I did not want him ,and as soon as she told me no she would not send my deposit back I told her fine I would pick him up as planned because I was not going to loose my deposit .
At this point she re listed him for sale of hoobly.com who has been contacted,but they refuse to remove the ad .and state's in her ad the deposit did not clear ( I have proof it did )She then told me she would not hold him unless I paid for him in full ,and I would have to pay for him in full before I could come get him even tho he was to be picked up in person ,and balance was to be paid in cash at that time. She does not return my email's,or call's. Please feel free to contact me for further info I have been contacted by many people about this person ,and her dirty dealing's.

Thank you for your apology Brandy. And especially thankyou to you Patty. That got me emotionally. I did mix up the typing of the names in the boxes. It was not intentional. So I am sorry about that. Menopausal thing. And when I meant that your check had not cleared was because it had but was not available to me for 6 more days. As for returning the phone calls, I do not return loud abusive messages or emails. I needed to stay in a good frame of mind to drive 38 times to Detroit for radiation and then get through chemo. Stress at that time was something I did not need. I miss Anderson. I am ejoying my last litter and mourning it as we pack up our house to look for a smaller place or hopefully to move to FL to be with my kids. I will cherish the time I have spent holding these funny wrinkly babies and watching them grow.

Yes I belive allot of misunderstanding's take place and after my own experiance with someone posting lies I look back and feel I did not handle this in the manner I should have I was upset and jumped the gun . I do not know Susan but I am sure she is a good person and I wish her well.

Yes Brandy, I think sometimes our messages get crossed and things go crazy. I do know however that I inquired about Anderson after you had place the deposit and Susan told me he was sold, she waited until the date that you were suppose to pick him up before she allowed me to buy him. I just really hate that someones name can be ruined so easily. It is sad, just because of miscommunication. She did write to the court because she is in the middle of cancer treatment, I know that for a fact because I did pick Anderson up in person and it was a very long drive for me. But Susan was just too sick to even take him to the airport and I wanted to make things easy on her. So nothing bad about you I just wanted to make it clear that Susan is a great person, one of the best out there as far as I am concerned. I hope all goes well for you also.

I am glad he has a good home . The reason I was not able to go to court was a family illness and because it was the day before court I was not able to get it changed family was more important to me.FYI Susan did not show up for court or call the courts . Susan may be a good person I am sure she is the only reason I was upset was after I sent the deposit and it cleared he was still listed for sale maybe this is the way she does things I dont know any breeder who does and then she told me that I had to pay for him in full before I could come get him now maybe that is not exactly how she ment it but that is how the email reads I called her at least 6 times and left a message each time she never once awnsered the phone or called me back . I am sure she is a good person I belive in most cases it is a misunderstanding but when You can not get someone on the phone how are You suppose to know what is up .

I now own Anderson, I have worked with Susan for over 2 years now and she is one of the most kind, honest, trusting people that I know. I know for a fact that she gave Brandy every chance possible to pick Anderson up. I was very interested in him but she would not let him go until after the date that Brandy was to pick him up from her house. Just because you need money back is not a good reason to ask for your deposit back, that is not how this business works. I also know that Brandy did not show up for the court hearing. Show I think that it shows that she was sure she could not win. Susan talked to me several time throughout this situation and she did not deserve all the trouble that has come about from this. Susan is a great person and has been through so much over this. Well I hope that after she gets well that she will get back in this business as she is one of the best people that I know and we need more like her out there. It is sad that her name as been ruined like this. But Anderson is in a good home and I plan on helping Susan get back on her feet some day, Thanks for everything Susan, and good luck.

Am I the only one who has noticed that this Michigan breeder's sign in name is the name,and cattery name of the breeder she filed the complaint on ? I checked, and barenall is a registered cattery name with both cfa,and tica so eaither this breeder is posting comment's/report's about herself (why would anyone do that ) ,or the michigan breeder filed a report under a false name. Site's like this can be good, but also very bad anyone can file a report about anyone it can be 100 % lie's ,but it will still be posted . No information is checked, and report's even when proven to be false are not removed . This is a perfect example of that the michigan breeder is being allowed by this site to post under someone else's name. Think about that for a moment , and put Yourself in the breeder's shoe's the next report You read could be about You,or someone You know. If You see a breeder on this site, or anyone else that You do not know first hand contact them,and let them ask about the report,or comment's alway's two side's to every story,and they may even have proof that the report's are false.

In every email I got I said I have a deposit on him. The cat is here. Why are you having people call me? Yes he is still up for sale because you are the one who wants your deposit back. If he is sold than you will get it back. If he is not than I held this cat for you for 3 months and turned away over 20 interested people. So you need to call and set up a time to pick him up the first week in April. In fact you may come over and visit him before hand.
Other than that you are just blabbing to make yourself look good. Since you have written all these false lies I might just counter sue you for $1800 plus expenses and interest.

Bottom line a judge will deisde ,and I myself can not wait . So What exactly does someone emailing more then one breeder have to do with anything ? Usally when someone is looking for anything cat,dog,bird,or fish they email more then one person I myself,and most other's do not just pick out an ad,and say oh that the one I am gonna buy do not need to email anyone else. Susan is just grasping at straw's .
In the end The fact's are on my side he was never unlisted I have printed copies of the ad's the ad's have the date palced , and the date they were printed is on the bottom of the page ,and each time I ask about it susan had an excuse from well my friend told me to re list him so he'd be at top of list I will remove it when I get Your deposit ,and then I will unlist him when it clear's ect.. (I HAVE EVER SINGLE EMAIL ) NOW Susan say's right her in her post he is being held,but yet he is still listed as being for sale on her web site,and on classified site's (ALSO HAVE DATED COPIES OF THOSE ADS) so why would he still be listed if being held ????? The emails Mrs. R--- sent to me came from Mrs.Harrie ,and the this is the email sharrie@peoplepc.com , the emails sent in respons to him being for sale also sent from sharrie@peoplepc.com now how is it someone sent emails from her email,and said they were her ? The break into her house,and use her computer ? Before You defend a scammer You should check the facts as it is quite possible You do not know that person as well as You think You do.

First off anyone can type off a fake email, forward it, and say it was from Susan. Second becasue a check has cleared an issuing bank does NOT mean it is cleared through the bank that has cashed it. Personal checks take around 2 weeks to fully clear to insure they are not a forged check even if the funds are available in your account. Also she has a right to expect full payment anyway she likes. If someone pulled all the stuff they are trying to do with Susan to me I would worry she would try and show up to my house without the money and take anderson by force. If you do not believe me you should see and hear some of emails and messages she has left to Susan and other cat breeders in the past. Susan also has the right to leave up the ad untill full payment has been made as long as she is not accepting any one elses deposits. WHICH SHE HAS NOT I WAS PERSONALY TURNED DOWN FROM PLACING A DEPOSIT ON ANDERSON. She is NOT trying to rip anyone off. In my opinion Brandy and exotic cats is responsible for ripping people off. In my opinion they are slandering Susans name in order to increase thier own cat sales. In my opinion after breeding sphynx cats in MI, Brandy and exoitic cats will do anything to help insure their will be no cat breeding competition. Being a good breeder means loving your cats and all animals not just trying to give the "competition" a bad name so more poeple will buy your cats. Eliminating compition by force and slander does not make you a better breeder please everyone looking to buy a cat please keep this in mind. A good reputable breeder does not need to resort to slander and threats to sell thier cats!

I do not know Mrs.Harrie,or Mrs.Roach,but I emailed Mrs.Roach after I seen this . Mrs.Roach sent me a copy of the check paid out by her bank to Mrs.Harrie a ton of emails from Mrs.Harrie,and some from other's she did try to sell the cat to after she took the deposit from Mrs.Roach . The proof is in the emails request them,and see for Yourself . I have been a sphynx breeder for 8 + yrs I have never herd of a breeder who takes a deposit to hold a cat,or kitten,and keeps that cat,or kitten listed as being for sale (Read Mrs.Harries post .Mrs. Harrie says herself she has the right to keep him listed till paid in full) ,and I have never herd of a breeder who ask to be paid in full before a cat,or kitten can be picked up .Shipped yes,but picked up no. Sounds like Mrs.Harrie is upset because she git caught .

You should know the fact before You defend someone .Email's do not lie .These are the fact's # 1 the money was taken from my account 1/25 I have the bank statement to prove it yet on 1/29 she claim's it has not cleared # 2 I have the email from her demanding he be paid in full before I could come pick him up # 3 I have copies of email's from 2 diffrent people that she offer this cat to after she got my deposit. # 4 The ad with him for sale was never removed,and is still up . NO breeder's do not demand a cat that is being picked up in person be paid in full before You can come pick them up. They do not keep a a cat listed as being for sale after they they recive a deposit on It. She is just mad because I did'nt let her rip me off,and now she has to go to court.

I have been doing business with Susan Harrie for several months now and have been treated with professionalism! She has even cared for my cats while breeding them. Just because you give a deposit doesn't mean you have bought the cat. Until you have paid in full the cat would stay for sale! Why would she want to lose prospective buyers if you never pay the balance. Thats why we have deposits. Which are non refundable if you change your mind or get mad. If I was Susan I would sue you for harrassment. This lady is fighting cancer and doesn't need this right now. Trust me you will be safe doing business with her.

Brandy Roach is trying to cover her tracks. My illness is why I am stopping breeding and why Anderson is being sold. I am not asking for pitty because of it. Pick up the cat and pay him in full or our agreement is null and void. Pay in cash when you pick him up or if you send a check it has to be cleared. And because you are acting so crazy that is why I asked him to be paid in full. And yes breeders do expect them to be paid in full.
If you want to be a respectable breeder you will stop all this harassing. Use spell check in your emails and website also.You might like to check your grammer. Use a dictionary. People might take you more seriously.
Did not steal your money. You sent me a non-refundable deposit of $300 to hold a champion stud until April. So if you do not pick him up in the first part of April our agreement is null and void. Check your own web site about deposits. You say it very clearly.

Susan is not being dishonest

I know Susan and have worked with her in the past breeding sphynx cats. I personaly know that Anderson the sphynx stud in question's ad was left up untill the check cleared which can take up to 2 weeks. When i inquired about his availablity I was told she was waiting on a deposit to clear and he was to be picked up in April.
Before this womans check cleared and after it was deposited in Susans account she started demanding it back even though she herself offers nonrefundable deposits and the check had not cleared. As of this date anderson as NOT been sold (I saw him at susans house just hours ago) His ad is not up online and April has not come for him to be picked up. Yet court papers have allready been filed.
I fail so see what more susan is supposed to do at this moment she has upheld every part of her bargin. As a breeder this woman should be aware deposits are worthless if refundable. Also I and others I know have bought cats from Susan and have never once been asked to pay all before picking up just when we show up for the cat. I know the breeders that are filing the complaints against Susan and in my personal opinion they are spreading nothing but lies to try and help their own cat sales

All of this is nothing more then lie's . Susan is using her illness to make people feel sorry for her . She may be ill,but that is no excuse to rip people off. Susan is the one who keep's sending me email's with stupid comment's. I have the email's from Susan in which she demand's he be paid in full before he can be picked up.She say's it herself right here I have the right to keep him listed till be is paid in full. I do not know any breeder's who keep a cat,or kitten listed after they take a deposit .I do not know any who make You pay in full before You can come pick up when being picked up in person . I'd like to hear from any who do. Once again anyone who'd like to be the proof please get in touch I'd be happy to send them .

Brandy of Mount Vernon sent me a non-refundable deposit to hold my champion stud until April. At the time she asked for the deposit back it was not available to me for 6 more days. It was non-refundable. I had several offers for him but turned them down. She is not being truthful. I am still holding him for her. If she does not pick him up in the first week of April he will be sold to another breeder or neutered and sold as a pet. I had and have every right to keep his ad up until he is paid in full. For her to put me all over the interenet is very wrong. I am in treatment for breast cancer and she knows this. She continues to harrasse me. Ask other breeders. Deposits are non-refundable.
