In August 2004 I purchased a French bulldog from Susan Patterson who advertises her dogs on Puppy Find, Yahoo and Puppydogweb.
Her advertisement stated that this dog was show potential, from the Cox line with champ pedigree and was a rare all white female. I bought her for $3000 and when I received her not only did she a a severe case of coccidia her tail was way to long and stood upward as she walked. When I took her to the vet the vet informed me that she has an inguinal hernia and that I should not breed her and that they would repair this when I spay her. I contacted the breeder and requested that since I could not show her due to her tail and since I cannot breed her because of the hernia that I felt she should refund me $500. She informed me that because she is female that her tail may not be like the males and that she would talk to her vet about my puppys hernia and call me back in a day or two. This was over two weeks ago and I have sent her numerous emails and she chooses to ignore me.
I have since heard from many other heartbroken people that have been scammed by this person.

Cheryl called when the puppy arrived to let me know how much she liked her and when she took her to the vet in the next few days she said she checked out fine. At that time there was no mention from her vet about any hernias. Quite a while later she informed me her older dogs were playing too rough with her and she was afraid they would hurt her. Some time after that she informed me her vet found the hernia.My vet will verify she did not have it when he examined her prior to her leaving here and it is highly possable she aquired it while playing too rough. I have not scammed anyone and again please read the contracts you sign.
