I ordered online a correspondence course with Susun Weed in 2007, paying in full with a credit card the amount of $550.00. This included about 10 paperback books of my choice from her list, 4 tapes of old talks she gave, 3 hours phone time with her to discuss the studies, a 12 page herbal (pretty useless) and 2 coupons for discounts on future classes (also useless). In receiving the books 2 months later, I realized I had one of the books and so I quickly wrote an email asking if I could exchange the book for another, happy to pay for any shipping charges. On November 6, 2007, Ms. Weed called early that Sunday morning, obviously angry. She proceeded to tell me that nowhere in her paperwork regarding the course does it say that I can email her. She said, I do not do emails. Every time you email me, I have to pay someone to respond to you. I listened to her and apologized for making the mistake of sending an email. I told her I only sent one because I didn't want to bother her with something so small and I had only dealt with her assistants during past emails. (She values her talk time to be $300.00). The last woman who called me was very nice and wanted to make sure I had received my course books. By this time, my heart was beating hard because of her tone and sarcasm. I asked her why she was so upset over me sending an email. She said that she wasn't upset, and turned it around asking me, Why are you so upset?. She went on some more about how she does not do emails, although, at the top of her correspondence for the herbalism course, it offers her name, address, phone and website address. She asked me in a very sarcastic tone is she'd upset me and I started to cry. She then asked me if I wanted her to apologize to me.

I listened to her talk as it was pretty hard to get a word in edgewise. By this time, my husband was by my side as he could hear her from our bedroom, her voice on the cell phone from the other room. He heard how belittling she was speaking, reiterating, yet again, the email mistake. Then she said, I'll tell you what, if you need to send me an email, go to your computer, type me a letter, hit p for print, print it out, put it in an envelope and mail it to me. I asked her why she was acting this way and raising her voice. She said, Well, I live in the country and I said that I did also. She continued, And when I'm in my yard and I'm calling out to my goat from across the yard, I have to raise my voice in order for my goat to hear me. First of all, she was not outside talking, and I was not a goat, I was a student who wanted to be treated with respect. She has none to spare.

I have also recorded a phone message she left with me one day saying that I had a problem with people in authority. In her first letter she sent back to me, after I requested a refund minus her $50 non refundable fee and offering to pay for the books, she wrote at the bottom of her letter, Do you have a drinking problem? The only other people who have treated me so quixotically have been alcoholics.

Do not take classes from her. She thinks she is someone more special than everyone else and expects people to bow to her. She may be a witch, but it's not the good kind. I had thought she would be so great to work with. I was very disappointed but have since gone on to take a fantastic course with Christopher Hobbs. I can't believe the information he offers. Her course didn't even begin to come close. She is not who she says she is.
