The truck i was driving for swift was sold and i was told to bring it to Phoenix A.Z i was able to get a load to phoenix turned the truck in on the 17th my wife had to drive all the way from Palm Springs C.A to pick me up because swift did not have a truck for me,but yet they knew that the truck had been sold in advance and did not have a truck for me. today is the 28th and yet i still do not have a truck!! what is the deal i thought swift was a all huge mighty truck company. boy was i wrong. Also i know that i have not been paid for miles that i have actual drove. Example i was going to sumner washington my qualcom said it was 820 miles i drove exactal 820 mile and was still 40 miles away from the consignee i stopped the truck and talked to mchur in phoenix and told him i drove 820 miles but yet i was not there i asked him will i get paid the xtra miles his repley was that i should get paid the actual miles that i drove. my replay was that yeah i heard how that works. he did not respond back? I think i will get a local job even though i love to drive. i am very disappointed in Swift.

I drove for Swift for two years. I had ONE trip that was over the miles I was paid. ALL the rest were short miles. How the heck does that work the other way? With the out of route fuel ups, it even goes short more often.

Lots of drivers say due to the way Swift calculates miles for loads the driver will ALWAYS gets short changed. Miles are calculated from center point of zip code at point A to center of zip code at point B. Sometimes the actual miles are more than what the driver is paid for. What driver's won't admit is sometimes it works out the other way, the actual miles driven are less than what the driver is paid for.
