the final straw was when they put out a memo telling drivers to cut down their idle time.i made a real effort to comply.we sat in truck stops(waiting for loads,as usual),out west with temperatures over 100 degrees with the engine off and windows down until we could not stand it anymore.we almost lost our dog from heat exhaustion.
so on several occasions we paid for idle-aire and motel rooms out of our own pocket.after three more months of suffering through this, but still making the loads,i did get,on time,i was called back into the home terminal (ocala florida).
upon arrival,i was called into my driver manager's office.he pulled out a clipboard and told me that iwas on the list of drivers that had idle time of over 40% and that i was terminated.i argued and told him how i went out of my way to comply but was fired anyhow.i cleaned out my truck and left.
upon returning home i put in 34 applications and was turned down on every one of them.before this i was never fired once.i even have awards for driving and safety.i was obviously blackballed.i am still unemployed and would like revenge on these idiots because they ruined our whole life.

Swift On DAC Means Screwed!!!

HireRight won't even allow an independent person or group review the dispute you file. They ONLY allow the Company, which you filed the dispute with, to look at what you're disputing and make their own judgment as to whether anything should be removed from your DAC. But, of course, the Company isn't going to remove anything. They're the ones that put it on there. It's the best black-balling a Company can get away with, because there's no Rules or Regulations that allows for oversight of the DAC Reports. In other words, "When a Company puts on whatever they choose to, as long as it's considered and 'objective' view, you can't get it taken off. Because, the Company that you were fired from has sole discretion as to what will or will not come off." It's such cr*p.

Ugly story after ugly story.

The thing that just baffles me is,how do you get so many people to lie for you, such as dispatchers,oh I'm sorry, driver managers, recruiters and right on up the ladder.I guess they feel if they don't lie they won't have a job.I often wonder when these people go home at night if little tommy asks, daddy what do you do for a living,do they tell them that I scew truck drivers all day long and tell them where to go,or do the lies continue and they say I just make sure trucks get to where they need to be.
As far as the Blackballing or Blacklisting, this practice is going to reach around and bite them right in the butt, and I think they are seeing the results of that already.
The one big thing these people that can be bought, ought to keep in mind, anything you make now your not taking with you,but any compassion you have shown will go with you.
I wish all nothing but the best and God Bless.

Class Action
AUTHOR: Phuqued - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Wednesday, October 01, 2008
I am or (was) about to enroll in a trucking school,
for which there are only so many provided by the
transport companies themselves.
But after reading all the negative remarks by many
I am reconsidering. Now that you have som much
idol time, I suggest using it to round up all victims
you can find and start a class action law suit.
Many lawyers will not collect their fee until after they
have collected your settlement and their fee will only
be a percentage of the settlement.
These companies will keep dong this to people as long
as people do nothing about it. But if you fight back
and hit them in the pocket book where it counts, they
might change their policy. As well you will be cleared
of the "black Ball" list and conmpensated for losses.
I am a bit confused though, having no knowlege of their
operations, tell me how can they fire you fordown time
if they are the cause of your down time? I dont get it.
You were waiting for a load, and got fired for that?
Or they cause you to wait so long that you then have
no remaining time for sleep the rest of the week?
.
