I was a driver for swift had to go out with a mentor was to be out for 8 weeks with mentor was really out there 12 weeks cause his truck keep going down. The mentor if thats what you call them don't care about the new guy all they are looking for is the extra money that they are making(the miles that the new guy drives).when we were on the road my mentor went home every weekend and put me up in a motel was told i could not go home all the time i was with him,cause it would take to much fuel even tho i only lived 150.miles from his house and if i took a bus home,that when he was ready to go that he would take off and go and tell swift that i did not show up.So i stayed in the run down motel that he put me in for the 12 weeks. was not trained on driveing in the mountians he was on a regular route from one place to another. and the 1st run i was given was a trip to cal routed thru the mountains. also i went home after being out for 4 weeks on my own and went to a doctor the doctor wanted to run some test called swift told them they gave Ok to have test done when i was at doctors they sent someone to get my truck. my gear that i had in the truck was put out of the truck somethings where broke and a lot was missing. when i got home and seen that the truck was gone and my stuff was all over the place i called Swift and asked what was going on they told me that i quit so they came and got the truck,and that i would not get my last pay check.

swift don,t cair about the drivers the terminals do what they wont . nobody answers to the head office .i have been trying to get to the dentist for 3 months had three apointments gave swift 2 weeks notice three times they coulden,t get me 100 miles to my apointment ontime .and they will take your truck and still what ever you have in it if they think they can use it i,m in a great deal of pain .the only way to get to the docter with swift is to take everything out of your truck then say i,m going to the doctor and go then look for another job because you won,t have one with swift when you get back. unless they are the one that sent you.i know i,v been with swift going on 5 years now.all the other trucking companys are the same .the labor board and osha won,t do anything the government is going to have to step in before anything is done.write your congresman and or senater .and there mentors if your lucky he or she will have 3 years .otherwise they only have 1 year driveing 1 year is not enough to teach a person to drive a truck you don,t know enough in a year to properly train .blind leading the blind
