Symantec Norton When is a deal a deal? I bought Norton 360 and Got a Virus. Now Norton wants $70 to REMOVE it!!! Mountainview, California

About a week ago, I "caught" the V9.com virus. Norton wants me to PAY THEM to remove it. Now, I THOUGHT that I was paying NOT to get the virus in the first place!
I did a bit of research. V9.com has been around for a few years. So my question is: why didn't Norton work on it so that I wouldn't GET IT?
Furthermore, after more research, I discovered an anti-malware program ($50/year vs. $70 for Norton) that located 19 harmful malware programs, while Norton says "You are Protected." What a crock!
I am writing my Visa credit card provider to have the charges reversed, and I will un-install Norton 360 from every machine that I have.
NEVER again. Symantec USED TO BE a very solid company, but no more. What a rip-off!
