I was locked out of my new condo, and called My Orange County Locksmith (came up first on my phone). They advertised as a local locksmith, when in fact, they were simply a referral service. They referred me to T&D, which is over 30 miles away from my home. After waiting over 90 minutes for this guy (they advertised 15 minutes), he charged outrageously inflated fees. By the end, I was charged over $600 to break into my home (which took 2 seconds!), and change 3 locks. Having already waited for so long, and needed to leave, I paid it, and am now disputing the fee with my credit card company.
Once I looked at my invoice, there was no technician name, no address or phone number, only 'T&D Locksmiths.' Of course, they don't want anyone contacting them. I believe that this shady company and the referral service (which never represented themselves as a referral service, only as a locksmith in my city) work together to rip people off.
