Taco Bell
165 COBB PARKWAY
Marietta, GA 30062
770-427-5565

On the 23rd of October 2005 around 4pm I purchased a combo meal from Taco Bell. I took my meal home, and began eat; as I took a bit, I noticed a strong gasoline smell. The cheese was saturated in gasoline fumes. I reported the matter to Mr. Comrade the manager. I took the food back so that he could smell which he did along with other employees confirming my problem. Mr. Comrade along with other employees then checked the batch of shredded cheese. It was also saturated in gasoline fumes.

The next day I tried to contact Mr. Comrade, but the restaurant appeared to be closed for the whole day. I've contacted corporate office, but got no help or cooperation. They were refusing to give me any information. Two Days later I was able to file a complaint with Taco Bell. The very next day I got a call from Mike Murchison of Nation Wide Insurance calling on behalf of Taco Bell. I explained how I was unfairly treated by Taco Bell, and would like to be compensated for my troubles. Mike Murchison then became very rude saying that I would get nothing. I told him that I would continue I told him that I would be perusing the matter, he said that's fine me, and hung up. I then contacted Fox 5 News, and talked to Kim Barnet whom agreed to help with matter by offering to contact Taco Bell's Corporate Office, and exposing the actions of Taco Bell on the News. A Day later I got a call from Mrs. Barnet she advised me of what to do. That very same day I got call from Mick Murchison wanting very badly to resolve the matter, because of the call from Fox 5 News. A week later I called Mr. Murchison to ask what he was offering, he said nothing my investigation is over, and hung up.

What do you want?

AUTHOR: Mike - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, November 16, 2005

What are you looking for? A million dollars? From what you said, sounds like Taco Bell did everything correct.

You notified them of a problem, and they closed the restaurant to fix it. Good. Then they had an insurance rep called you to see how you were doing. Now if you ate the food, got sick, then you would certainatly be entitled to a bit more for your experience.

However, from what you describe the only thing bad for you was the incovenience of going back to Taco Bell to notify them of the problem.

I would say you are entitled to a few free meals. Get a grip on reality if you think you've won the lottery.
