TCF bank incident 3/7/06

On 3/8/06 I went into my account, in the internet, to pay a bill, as I saw my personal TCF Debit account was $489.05. I wondered what happened, since I knew I had some money in my account. When I clicked into my account, I saw a charge that read like this:

I immediate knew that it was an unauthorized tranaction. I called the number I got from the internet for fraud for TCF, called, talked to a person named Mohamid, and had my credit card cancelled. He advised me to go to the bank and see what else they can do for me. On 3/8/06, I took a day off from work to fix all this. At 8:00am I went to TCF bank and talked to a supervisor, she cancelled my credit card, she said that customer service had not cancelled my account yet. I filled out a form to investigation on 3/8/06. Told me I should have my money in the account within a few weeks.

March 10th, the Pending Amount for $489.05 was dropped off, and went into my bank account.
March 17th, Boost Mobile again, charged my TCF Debit account $495.80 and this time instead of being Pending, it went thru. My account was deducted the amount of $495.80 a different charge than the previous one.
March 18th, called Christina at TCF Bank on Jefferson St., she asked me to fill out another request for them to investigate what had happened to my account. At that time, I asked Christina for the Credit card Number, since I had shread mine and thrown it away, she gave me the #4479720031865063.
March 19th, I went into TCF Bank, and filled out a 2nd request to credit my account.
March 20th, I asked who was the Credit that charged my account, and she told me it was Bright Point, Boost Mobile.
March 20th 10am Called Bright Point, and they referred me to Sharon, which in turn transferred me to Brenda and she took down the information of my Credit card number that Christina had gave, she said she would investigate into it and would give me a call back that same day.
March 20th, 21, that call never got to me.
March 22nd , at 9:00am called Brenda, left a message to call me back, never did.
March 23, 24, 25, 26 waited for results did not want to call and seem a pest.
March 27th , 9:00am called Brenda at Bright Point, and was off, in her message said that Dorin in extension #6707 was taking her calls., so I called Dorin in that number.
March 27th , talked to Dorin, and explained to her what was going on, and she took down the credit card number, and said she would investigate..
March 27th, she proceded to give me Boost Mobiles Number to talk to them. She gave me 1888-266-7848.
March 27th, at 11pm, contacted Boost Mobie, and talked to a David, and explained the whole situation with what happened. He said he would fill out a Charge back Form, that would be sent out automatically thru mail. He kept on asking for my Boost Mobile phone number, which I explained to him that I did not have a Boost Mobile, and no phone number. He apologize for the inconvenience, and Took my Name, Address and Phone number at home, and at work.
Waited for this form, and still I have not gotten any form in the mail.
March 29th, I received a Letter from TCF Bank, from Regulation Dept, from Trish stating that she was denying my charge back into my account.
March 31st, Called Boost Mobile, explained again what was going on into my account, and said they had no record of me calling in, and that they could not help me if I did not have a Boost Mobile account with them.
April 5th, April 7th, Called Boost Mobile, and asked me for my Boost Mobile number or account number, I explain to them, that I did not have one, and if someone could help me. They plainly said that if I did not have a phone number and an account that they could not help me. I frustrated, told them, that all I wanted to know is who and why did this charge go into my account, they could not answer, and said they were not responsible for this.
April 7th, called Bright Point and Talked to Dorin, again, and told her how frustrated I was that I could not get anywhere. She took the information again, and said she would email Boost Mobile for me, and see what she can find. I thank her.
April 10th, Called TCF BANK Trish, the person that denied my Credit to be put back into my account. She told me that she had talked to Bright Point, and they said that the package was delivered Federal Express to my Address. I asked her for the confirmation number from Federal Express, she said that when Bright Point told her that the package was delivered to my address, she did not bother to go any further, and took upon herself to make her mind up not to pay me. I asked her that if she would have gotten a confirmation number, and who signed for it, since the package was never delivered at home. She told me to contact Bright Point and Talk to them. I asked her what was my credit card number since that number that TCF Bank from Jefferson, and Cristina gave me was not making sence. Trist proceded to tell me that it was the wrong number, so she gave me the correct number #4479-7200-3590-8539.
April 10th, Called Bright Point, and talked to Dorin, I proceded to tell her that I had given the wrong number, she took the right number and forwarded the email again to the Right person in Boost Mobile.
April 10th, Called Bright Point again, this time I talked to Pattie, took down the correct number, and said she would investigate.
April 11th, Patty Cribs from Bright Point in Indiana, called me and said that The Boost Mobile Package was delivered to my address and Federal express did not require a signature. She also added that TCF bank should do a Credit Card Charge back, to get my money back.
April 12th, I called TCF Regulation Specialist, and talked to Trish, I told her what Bright Point had told me that TCF bank should fill in a Credit Card Charge back to get credit for my Money that was taken out of my TCF bank account. Trish from TCF bank said that since the case was closed that she could not open the account, once the account file number is closed they can not open it. She told me to Call Bright Point so they can Credit my account.
April 12th, Called Patty from Bright Point, but did not answer, so I'm waiting one more day, before I file a complaint with the BBB, and internet fraud.
No one wants to take responsibility on this matter, no one wants to credit my account, and I'm out of $495.80.
April 13th, Call again Patty Cribs at Bright Point, and left a message that this has to be resolved today, and I want answers before I go to the BBB on them. I also left a message that Trish from TCF told me that Bright Point is the one that should give me my credit in TCF, and last time I talked to Patty, she said that TCF is the one that should be requesting a Credit Card Cash back, but according to Trish that I talked to her yesterday, she said that since the Request form that I filled out, she already closed, that she could not open it again, and could not help me at all on this.
April 15th, Saturday I closed all the accounts with TCF bank, and told them I would never do business with them, I have been with them since they opened, I've made hundreds of thousands of dollar transactions on this account, They have charged me Overdraft fees of $200, and I have paid them, because I do accidently overdraft, even though I have money in my savings account, And I have paid these fees the next day, I know I made a mistake overdrafting, and I pay. This one time was above me, I don't understand, why they did to me.
Final thought. I just cant win, TCF bank tell me to go to Bright Point to get my money back, then Bright Point, tell me to go to TCF for a Credit card charge back, but TCF will not do that because they closed my Case too early, and said they cannot reopen it. $495.80 is still missing and is gone somewhere, no one wants to take credit for it.
What a rip off.
