UPDATE: The company has been sold, or the scam seems to deepen, to TCI or Travel Consultants International in Englewood, CO. Website: www.trip-professionals.com 888-722-8860 . After calling the real estate management office at the address posted online at: 400 Inverness Parkway Englewood, CO 80112 there is not such tenant under this name or any other travel company at this address (SCAM). The website is a replica of the last one www.newworldwideservies.com . The person I spoke to this time name was Leslie Warner who said she's worked at the company for 20 years and taken all sorts of trips with the company. This is the exact same scam as last time. They take your money over the phone saying that you are paying a 'Travel Voucher' then you will receive a package in the mail. Then you 'activate' your voucher and call a booking agent all while paying an additional fee. This is the same scam as before. They get you by sending a fax to your workplace
Things to do: Report this immediately if this happens to you. Call your bank and report Fraud on your account. Report to your Attorney Generals office or website, report to your local Better Business Bureau, report Mail Fraud as none of these locations are legit, this is interstate fraud too so contact your Chief of Commerce.
This report was posted on Ripoff Report on 08/28/2012 01:22 PM and is a permanent record located here: http://www.ripoffreport.com/r/TCI-Travel-Consultants-International/internet/TCI-Travel-Consultants-International-New-Worldwide-Services-TCI-Travel-Consultants-Intern-933823. I receive notifications regarding anything related to us on this website. Therefore, I attempt to respond to any complaint. I have reviewed the information. It is difficult to respond to people when you do not know who they are. You cannot review their files, their accounts, communications, etc.
However, I will try. I have no idea about the truth or falsity of the claim made herein. However, there are a few facts I do know related to any purchaser. First, the claim of 60 vs 90 days lead time. Did the consumer go through a third party verification? IF she or he is the original purchaser, this is the ONLY way you can buy. Guess what.... that is an INDEPENDENT company hired for 2 purposes: (1) as a merchant account processor.... they process your payment. (2) for consumer protection.... they read a script to the consumer BEFORE they buy and do not answer questions. The consumer is informed of the nature of their purchase and terms and conditions BEFORE they buy. One of those things is the lead time required to book. Second, they are told that we cannot and do not refund money after 72 hours. WHY? We BUY these vacations from a non-refundable source. SO, any refund comes straight out of our company's pocket with the consumer KEEPING the vacation they bought. It is NOT our vacation package. It is issued by a provider. THEY will NOT cancel it.
So, let me ask a question. Why did this person IGNORE this information on a recorded verification and buy the travel package after they were told this information? I cannot confirm or deny the validity of any "he-said, she said" conversation. I can, HOWEVER, confirm the information given to the consumer BEFORE they bought IF this person wishes to give me their name. I guarantee they were told 90 days and no refunds or someone is going to get fired.
Next, to add insult to injury, this consumer, if they received the travel vouchers as indicated, received a written notification, certified mail, rrr, WITH THE FIRST PAGE IN THAT PACKAGE STATING THE LEAD TIMES REQUIRED TO BOOK. 90 DAYS. It further states that if they use that travel package by requesting the travel vouchers, they understand this and agree to its terms.
OK. So, this consumer did not know? No, that is not the problem... this consumer ignored the consumer protection company's disclosures.... this individual ignored the FIRST PAGE of the documents sent to him/her... and NOW they want to say we did something wrong and they want us to take a total loss, pay them from our own pocket and keep the vacation package they bought.
If you were us, what would you do? Oh yes, I am Ed Roberts and I doubt I made any statements such as the one's listed herein UNLESS the consumer threatened, cursed me, or was totally obnoxious. I know that is NO excuse. However, we are human as well. If this person did not do this, I am sorry. However, I seriously doubt that I would make such a statement as the one put herein unless I was provoked.
Here are two NOVEL ideas.... one use the travel package and go on a different date OR write an email and request a refund. There are ways to get one. HOWEVER, there are steps the consumer must take to get it.

I am simply a man who wanted to get away for a few days, and enjoy some sun.
I was told to expect a certified mail package. It arrived, looking like it was put together by a college student: labels that were clearly form a home computer-type setup. A bad omen. Inside, not much better. A lot of meaningless PR materials clearly printed out on a home computer setup.
The Terms & Conditions" pages are vague, confusing, and not even written in proper English. It states, "Romex is an entirely owned agency.." whatever that means!
On the first page of the terms, it reads, "Below are the companies chosen by Romex to handle all the processing and fulfillment of your vacation program." Yet there are no companies listed. It goes on and on. Nothing is clear in this packet, and thus I called to cancel and kindly ask for a refund.
Your operator would not tell me when you would be in, and apparently refused to pass my message along. Again, I am kindly asking for a refund.

Further, be aware that if you are making demands which are not possible(guess what, a lot of people DO), then I will still try and make you happy but I have limits.
2. Second, don't call us for those other companies. Despite your claims, you are totally wrong about Romex and WE CANNOT HELP YOU.
3. I think those individuals who THINK they know something, in fact, do not.... at least about Romex.

Why makes threats for someone who you claim doesn't work for the company. If they are so angry, have them come on this site and say something.
AND going off that, if you don't work there anymore, how do you know that the company has been in contact with these individuals you claim don't work at the company? I didn't know ex employees were privy to this information once they stopped working there.
Who are you really? And if you worked with this company then you won't mind giving us some concrete information about where it is and the actual phone number.
This is an obvious and useless attempt to scare people and to stop them from exposing this bogus fake and scamming company. Your just angry because people are expsing you. You threaten to take us to court for slander? I bet you dollars to donuts that won't happen, becuase then we would have your information and we can take YOU to court. Then you would have to give back all the money you stole from people and then some.
I could go on but I have spent too much time on you and it's not worth it. Give us our money back, give us your REAL information and shut down your scam of a company.

Scam on cruise to the Bahamas - VIP Wholesale Group withdrew funds for trip and assigned a customer number. Once the funds cleared;the entire attitude of the company changed. Our package did not come in the time frame stated, so we called 888 400-3957 and 888 400-3957. We were informed by *Mike Gonzalez* that someone in the office dropped the ball, we were given a US Postal tracking#-when we contacted the US Postal 800-275-8777 and 800-275-8777 the tracking# did not exist. We eventually received our package after contacting this "company" postmarked with address of 5380 W. 34th #164, Houston, TX 77092. In order to book the trip, there were activation fees of $70 per traveler. Sent a money order in the amount of $700 to VIP Wholesale 448 W. 19th St. Ste. 258, Houston,TX 77008. Afterwards, no vouchers or travel package were sent. If you have any honest in your blood answer the questions that are outlined in the previous chain above. Your name is obviously fake and easy to hide behind because it is so common. We are completely onto you.
You are a rude person that will continue to scam people until you are caught. You have obviously made a career out of this and career criminals will eventually be caught. You have no customer service, make threats, and are likely the true scammer. The police will catch you and we will not stop until you are caught.
Victims are still encourage to call your banks to file a fraud claim. The banks will make the necessary action to seek criminal charges. This is bank fraud, travel fraud, mail fraud... I'm sure much more fraud is occuring here and there needs to be a thorough investigation.

You call in and speak with a sales representative. You are transferred to a third party(not our company) verification where you are read a script. In that script it outlines each and every thing I have seen herein you have complained about NOT being told. This was done BEFORE you bought. WE cannot help it if you don't listen to what you are being told. Guess what, it is recorded.
You are sent an email with terms and conditions within 72 hours of purchase. Guess what? We can't help it if you don't read.
Third, you are sent, certified mail, documents with terms and conditions in writing. IF you use the travel package, you are bound by those terms. Guess what, every one of you used them.
Next, you are referred to a booking company. THEY send you documents with terms and conditions and require a signature to book you. Guess what? All of you did this. You were, again, told in writing about the product and chose to ignore it.
SOOO, I guess after being told once in a recorded verification and THREE times in writing, you were "scammed" or "misinformed."
There is nothing more amazing to me than people who want to blame others for their inability to read or listen. EVERY ONE OF YOU, if it was a purchase from OUR company followed this process. In court, you would be blasted. With any governmental agency, likewise. You believe you can sign documents and then complain you did not know??? You believe anyone will ignore you answering questions in a verbal voice recorded contract saying you understand what you now claim you did not know???
Finally, I don't know who it is you THINK you found but we are NOT affiliated with anyone or any company you listed. I hope you cross you ts and dot your is before you go after someone NOT affiliated with our company. WE have been contacted by the individual you have listed herein and he is, to say the least, totally ticked off. We have been told if you wish to continue slandering and libeling him, you will not have to worry about finding him, he will find you.
You might want to stop your complaining, review what you bought and read what you signed and STOP slandering people not associated with our company.

In other words, you are the owner Jesse that is getting notified that people are exposing your national internet travel SCAM. As I mentioned before lets check your facts out. Where did you go, When, and where did you stay. Most importantly who the heck did you purchase this through? What company, who was your booking agent et al. All of these companies no longer exist. This is a scam, scam, scam and you are a scam artist.
As I asked you before why are you looking up scams for this company if you are a happy customer? You will be caught before long.
This company is located in Houston. Don't be fooled by any addresses that are out of Texas as they are there to mislead you. Easy way to check is look up the address on google maps and see what kind of building is there. Also check to see if there is a suite number, which there never is. I actually called the buildings this company claimed to be located in and noone knew of them. The Scam is to pick a big commercial office building out of Texas and pretend they are a tenant.
If you are a victim contact your bank and cancel any payment you made immediately. Secondly report this to your BBB, Attorney General, and local police department. I have included information on the owner above.

Then they advised us that we had to mail an additional $35 per person for airfare activation fee and another $35 per person for hotel activation fee. When our trip was not booked 3 weeks before we were supposed to leave, we too started calling and getting the run arounds and the no response. After speaking to Robert Thornton, Wayne Williams, Mr. Gonzalez Betty Stevens, Carol Mitchell, who are all fake names, I reported them to the BBB and filed a report with the Texas Police Dept. A detective did go there to follow up on my complaint and advised me that the building is only about 900 sq. feet, so when they transfer you, you are actually being transferred to a person sitting next to the person who you originally spoke with. There is no reservations dept, legal dept or any other dept. What I did find out is Robert Thornton, Mr. Gonzalez and Wayne Williams is the same person. His real name is Jesse Casares and his telephone number is 713-429-9429. You should forward your complaints to Officer Melba Hogan with the Houston Police Dept. These scam artists need to be stopped immediately!

If what you are saying is honest there is a simple way to determine the truth. Just answer these small questions. Because everything that is posted online is inaccurate.
1. What is the real name of the company and real address. I'm talking about the one you have filed with the state that should be public information. You are clearly not at the posted 400 Inverness location in Englewood, CO. You said you are located in Austin, TX... well where? I called the management offices of those properties and they don't have any travel companies there. Why don't you have a floor or suite number posted in your address that is correct?
2. Why do you still have the same website where none of the links work? And why is it the same website as before just with a new name. I'm guessing that there will be another buyout in 2 weeks so you can change the name of the company again.
3. What is the companies phone number. I'm not talking about an 800 or 888 number we can't track down. I'm talking about your local business phone number and address that should also be public information.
4. Who is Unleashed Services where I sent my check to?

SCAM... Then answer the most simple questions.

1. Where are you located? None of your phony addresses show up anywhere. So don't give us any of your posted fake addresses. What is your real address. It's easy. None of the building management knows who you are or have any travel companies in their buildings. Why are you so covert?
2. What is the official title of your company and what state was it formed in?
3. Who is the owner of your company?
4. What is your license plate number so we can actually see who you are?
If you are an honest business this is easy information to give the public. I'm waiting. Oh and the Houston Police Department wants to speak with you too.

Worldwide Services Response

The individual lists a number of companies including ours. TCI is a large, multi-national corporation operating all over the world. It is a broker. Astro Travel and Worldwide American Travel are resell companies. Astro and Worldwide Travel are not owned, operated or controlled by Worldwide Services or TCI.
The customer in this case wishes to blame EVERYONE for the situation. However, Worldwide Services and TCI have NOTHING to do with taking the customer's money or making any representations to him whatsoever.
What I do know is this.... the individual who reported this is mistaken and wishes to blame companies for his own inabilities to listen or to read. As a wholesales company, Worldwide Services insists that all sales, by any reseller selling directly to the public, be verified before billing a consumer, by an independent third party verification company. In that recording, customers are informed of all terms and conditions of the sale, all costs associated with booking, all lead times required to book. On each and every one of these terms that are explained to the customer, they are asked "Do you understand?" If they object or say they do NOT understand, they are not sold anything and not billed one penny.
We have such a recording for this customer.
Next, the customer is sent an email, AGAIN, telling him the terms and conditions of purchase, all fees, lead times, etc. within 24 hours of the purchase.
Again, when the travel package is sent to them, and before they pay a penny to book the vacation, they are sent documents setting forth the process to book, lead times, costs, fees. They have this BEFORE THEY PAY ANY ADDITIONAL BOOKING FEE.
In this case, the customer paid those booking fees.
We cannot take responsibility for a reseller. They do not work for us, are not controlled by us. However, I cannot understand how a customer can IGNORE everything told to him before the sale, at the time of sale, at the time he received a travel package, before he paid to book and during the booking process and now insist it is someone else's fault.
The only tragedy in this case is that this customer wishes to blame others for his inability to listen and read.
I know this is not a kind response. However, it is also not kind to blame everyone involved for his chief complaint... a salesman misled him. Not OUR salesman, not TCI's salesman, not the Travel Center's employees, but a resale company employee. And, I will add, if this customer had simply listened to the third party verification company, before he was billed a penny, we would not all be in this situation. If he had read the email receipt sent to him, he had time to request a full refund.
His argument is "someone told me this" which cannot be verified. What CAN be verified is his own recorded voice saying he understands the terms and conditions he is now complaining about.
His argues he was mislead despite the fact he continued to book and pay more fees;despite the fact that everything he now wants to complain about was put in writing to him not only once, but THREE times before he paid fees.
The only "scam" here, perhaps, is the fact that there is a dissatisfied customer who would not have been a dissatisfied customer if he had only paid attention.
TCI is NOT Worldwide Services and has NOTHING to do with that company. The Travel Center has NO affiliation with TCI or Worldwide Services. They are a separate, well respected booking company.
