Back in June of 2012 I thought my SSI had been deposited to my TD bank checking account. Come to find out that wasn't true. I paid all my bills and did what I had to do with money from TD Bank. I was told in July of 2012 by Social Security that I didn't get my SSI money that TD Bank had sent it back to them. I told Social Security that was wrong and that I paid all my bills with my SSI money. They showed me their proof and I showed thhem mine. Come to find out their proof was accurate. I found out that in actuality that what happened is that TD Bank sent back my SSI and then decided to cover their asses by giving me a loan for the amount of my SSI check. Next they decided to send me a bill stating that I owed them money for the same amount as my SSI check. I talked to them and told them that they weren't going to get anything because it was their mistake not mine and I didn't feel that I owed them anything since I hadn't asked for a loan, I had no knowledge that they gave me the money, they sent my SSI check back and Social Security had proof that I hadn't received my SSI check and finally it seemed to me that they were trying to screw both me and Social Security. After a few attempts to get me to pay them and realizing they weren't going to get anything they decided to drop the whole issue. Plus when I found out what happened I immediately closed the checking account and told Social Security to send me my checks in the mail. I kept open my savings account with TD Bank during this time because there were no problems with the account. I few months later I had my wallet with my ID and my bank card stolen. So the theives couldn't get anything I shut down everything and reported to TD Bank that I had my banking information stolen along with my bank card. I went into the Copley Square TD Bank branch office and asked to change my savings account to a new account since the theif or theives had my bank information. Thhey told me that I couldn't get the same type of account because the original type of savings account I had opened no longer existed. They opened a different type of savings account and cancelled the old account even though I had to argue with them to close the old account so that the person who stole my wallet couldn't get any of my money. They tried at first to get me to keep the old savings account. How stupid is that? Life went on like normal or so I thought until recently when I found out from a credit repair company that all was not well because of two companies listed on my credit report. Imergent and Duvera. I did some research and found out that Duvera is a financial service company that gives out loans and mortgages. They are a part of TD Bank. Mind you; I've never received a loan from TD Bank when I filed for one and I've never had a mortgage with them either. I've never had a mortgage with any bank and just about every bank has turned me down for a loan because of having a bad credit history and low score. Up until dealing with this company called Lexington Law I'd never heard of Duvera Financial. I found out from researching them that they've been scamming people for a long while. I went to TD Bank recently and took all my moneyy out of my savings account, my son's savings account and I gave them back the keys to the safe deposit box I had with them after I took out all my important papers and documents. I closed out everything because I started thinking about how they did me wrong in 2012. I figured what they did back in 2012 was that since they knew they weren't going to get paid for their mistake they decided to compound the problem more without my knowledge by telling Duvera Financial that I owed them money when I didn't and I still don't. Since I've been lied to about owing TD Bank money in 2012 I didn't even give them a chance to lie to me again by asking them about their affiliation with Duvera Financial instead I took the advice of another person who had a negative encounter with Duvera Financial.... She closed her bank account and so did I. People need to be careful when dealing with TD Bank. I advise people to deal with them only if you have minor banking needs that need to be met. I'd go to a different company like Metro Credit Union on Massachusetts Avenue across from DTA and the South Bay Mall. I'd even deal with a more experienced big bank like BOA or a small community bank like Avon Cooperative Bank. I will never deal with TD Bank again. As R Kelly put it best; I'm not feeling the love no more."
