I received a phone call on 6/25/08 from a " sounds like " spelled Shaheed Bailey, asking to purchase " Caller Advantage " and " Essential Medical Solutions " for a FREE gas card worth $500.00 ( as I live & breathe-QUOTED!! ) Packages would soon come via address mail. Never did Shaheed ask for cc info, stated HE KNEW IT ALREADY?? Pleasant person, CA gas prices are RIDICULOUS !! He caught me on a happy day!
Within a couple days, rec'd 2 separate envelopes with same address, one from TDMS ( Essential Medical ) PMB 204,2063 Main St., Oakley-CA. 94561-3302. 2nd envelope was from CALLER ADVANTAGE ( same address ) as above. Yet not TDMS as sender, just PO box & address.
On 7/9/08 called 2 separate phone#s to cancel memberships, as it was a $50.00 gas card & NOT $500. CC statement charged $2.95 for each on 7/1/08, and though closed 7/9...WHY NO CREDIT REFUND PRIOR TO CLOSING STATEMENT DATE? Reason given: S & H fees, oh please!!
Now for the SCAM. On 7/10/08 POST DATE- There is a $1.95 charge from a Company called " EZ1RATE " 800-923-8939. I never ordered nor received anything, so I called today and spoke to " MIKE " who stated that my 2 week free trial was up? I asked Mike what this Company offered, he shmoozed some kind of song & dance that " THEY CHARGED a $49.90 MONTHLY FEE to CC on 7/22/08 already!! " And He would send to me a check " in the mail " for $31.90 within 7-10 business days. He would not refund the $1.95 on a PRODUCT NEVER ORDERED/ RECEIVED either !? In hindsight, He mentioned affiliation with the above 2 Companies as " ALL FROM SAME MARKETING COMPANY " ??
So, I called CC company which suggested to come in to Branch & file a FRAUD CLAIM. So irritated, I detest thieves, liars. My annoyance is not with Caller Advantage or Essential Medical Solutions, I bought them ( stupid me ) - YET EZ1RATE IS IN FOR A FIGHT!!

Credit card charged 6 regular days after purchase, though given 14 day TRIAL period? When does TRIAL period begin? CC charged 2.95 each for Essential Medical Solutions and also for CALLER ADVANTAGE- AZ. Called two toll free #s to cancel 7/8 & 7/9, confirmed cancel on 7/9. These two pieces of paper cost me $5.90. This report may appear comparatively small to larger SCAMS, yet if all consumers get charged $2.95- you do the math. Also, original purchase date was on 6/25/08. I suspected 2.95 charged for S&H, " as stated " non-refundable on 7/1/08 ? ( CC statement rec'd on 7/30/08 ) What actual "packaging" that I NEVER received, cost so much if I canceled between 6/25 to 7/9/08 anyway ? Phone #s 866-223-1555 ( CA. Essen Med ) and 866-916-8814 ( AZ. Caller Advan.) could NOT give me a reason. Probable affiliation with " EZ1RATE.com ". All super stinks.
