THE BODY SHOP ADVERTISED SALES AND IN-STORE OFFERS THAT STORE DOES NOT HONOR--- RUDE STAFF New York, New York

DO NOT SHOP IN THE Body Shop (STORE 1130) AT ROCKEFELLER CENTER. THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!!!!!!!

I brought the FREE Body Butter printable coupon to the Body Shop (Store 1130) Rockefeller Center, NY.

The girl working that day was rude when it came to the FREE Body Butter coupon stating that I had to be a Body Shop member to utilize the coupon. I have shopped in the store for years and must be a member but she could not find it.  Also, my group was all offered coupons at the door and I was not. I asked what the coupons were, as my friends and family meandered around the store and the girl said that there was nothing additional. However, when I asked my neice, she said that they were giving out coupons.

What the heck was wrong with this girl?  Was I being singled out or something? Let's be mean to this 40+ woman. When I brought the Body Butter up to the register, she looked at the coupon and asked to see my driver's license. I thought, "that's wierd" but gave it to her. She told me that she was not honoring the coupon even thought I had printed a valid coupon that was advertised on more than 10 different coupon websites. She relented until I was so embarassed that I gave the coupon to my neice to use. My neice produced a Body Shop card (which the coupon does not state that you have to be a member), and she was summarily refused the use of the coupon as well.

When my neice produced the BOGO coupon for the body Butter (she had two), she was only given 10% off. When she questioned the girl, the girl just stood there and smiled and said, "Merry Christmas". I just looked at her and said, "are you for real". My neice is 17 years old and this rude girl treated her (am me) like imbiciles. Is that the way you get repeat business? So, the Spin for free products coupon (give in the store) was refused and the printable FREE Body Butter coupon was refused as well. There is nothing on the coupon(s) which states any of the conditions that existed from the employee. Basically NO discount was given except for 10% off. I get the idea that I was doing the Body Shop a favor shopping in the store. 

What the heck is it with these employees? Are they coupon Natzi's. We were embarassed in the store by this Black employee who was very obviously racist against us because we are white. She ran from the front of the store to the back of the store, kicking one cashier out to deal with us once again.  She felt the need to belittle and make us feel unimportant. And even though I went through the disclaimer on the coupon, she kept saying that corporate states that we are absolutely not allowed to take these unless you are a Body Shop member. I told her that it does not say that on the coupon but that my neice is a member.  I was very nice.  She refused to allow the free product (or the BOGO that was given in the store).  She looked at me with a smile and said, "Merry Christmas Maam".  I was shocked! 

I think that she was keeping the FREE merchandise for herself. I will never shop in this store again. What a ripoff!
