THE FURNITURE PLAZA 1700 LLC THE FURNITURE PLACE GALLERIES Internet order, paid for furniture in Oct 2012 still no delivery in Jan 2013. No one calls back! a SCAM Farmingdale, New York

I placed an internet order for a matching step stool for my bedroom set through Furniture Plaza 1700 AKA the The Place Furniture Galleries on October 10, 2012. I paid with my  American Express in the amount of $294.00. In my email confirmation, I was told that my order would be shipped in 4-6 wks and contingent upon available inventory. At that time an email tracking no would be sent to me. No alarms went off since I have made numerous furniture purchases on the net with no trouble. 

In mid December I started phoning to inquire the status of my order. I left numerous messages and actually spoke to someone in one of the retail locations. I finally got to one of the internet reps who put me on hold to look up order and voila disconnected. I have made this attempt several more  times including email to the customer service department with no success. I also
went to website and its conveniently under contruction. Since my amx was paid in Nov. I have no recourse other than reporting this as a scam.
