I purchased my Brand New (RCA) in Nov.2007 it failed right out of the box.SO I enlisted the add of a truck and 2 able bodied men to load the TV for me.We headed to (Wal-Mart) where I exchanged it for the same model(BIG mistake).I got the tv home every thing was fine for 6 to 8 weeks,I started to notice a small mark on the screen.This mark keep getting bigger and bigger,.but i didn't really want get a truck and impose on friends again.I waited after calling RCA several times and not getting any return calls,I finally realized my dream i got a live person on the phone.The information i got really surprised me(they told me me i had a in home warranty.)So I called the only tv service that would work on RCA rear projection tv's.They took the tv on 4/29/08 after 2 weeks i called and was told that the picture tube was bad and they had ordered a new one which they were installing.The bad news came on 5/12/08 the brand new tube was't any good and didn't know when they could get another one.I decided to take matter's into my own hands,so i called the Thomson-RCA center.They have promised me everything from a new TV to a REFUND.DON"T buy anything from them because you know what I got in the end is nothing.I got lied to from supervisor's, promises broken and still waiting on that new picture tube.But i spoke to WAL-MART about the extended warrtany i got from them and it follows the MANUFACTURE'S WARRANTY in home service.SO when and if I get that TV back I'LL have 30 more months of security knowing, I have a WARRANTY backed by THOMSON_RCA(ONLY 6 months of THOMSON).I hope WAL-MART is better,we'll see how the 24 MONTHS works out with them
