If you paid your bills on time your credit would be ok and you could go to a normal loan co. Also the interest rare is not 400%, this is all figured monthly due to being a pawn but probaly is 12.99% monthly. Do pay it off as soon as possible. For Consumerist.com do not try and comment if you do not know the laws or how a pawn works. If he does not like titlemax he can always go to TN title or another pawn place and pay 22% monthly (state max for state of TN). Just pay your bills on time and they will not call you or visit your work.
Also before anybody starts complaining that i am employee trying to stick up for the company please look at my title X-EMPLOYEE, that was fired because i would not be rude and treat customer badly. The Regional manger for this area is Jim Young and the athens tn store is where his home office is. I would recommend contacting him or corp if you have a complaint. His phone number is 423-364-4228 and the athens store is 423-746-0123. I do not know the manager at that store as i was in ga when i was at titlemax.

If it is not in the contract then it is not real. If some lady said (with her mouth) "10 day grace period" but it isn't in the contract then it is false. By patronizing these places fools like you (yes you were foolish to go there) lose their money and get harassed by the loan company. Try to pay off the loan as quickly as possible as your interest is probably 200 to 400% as the late fees add up. Otherwise they will repo your car.
You need to inform them of the consumer debt collection practices. Also they are going by your work to make sure you still have your car. If I was you, I might think about not driving the car for a while- maybe parking it at a friend or distant relative's home- until you pay the loan off.
You were stupid to go to this type of place- it is never a good deal except for the company- which may get your car.
