TIVO New 1 year contract is a joke. New terms, $20 per month no longer $12. EARLY TERMINATION FEE ? Does TIVO think they are a cell company ? Most companies also ship their units in a NON activated mode. Not TIVO, theirs are 'pre-activated'. That means some convenience but also means if you let itsit, for 1-2 months you have lost time on that contract.

WOW. I am stunned ! And for anyone with a newer PC with VISTA, Windows7 or even the older XP Media Center Edition, or even 3 rd party software, you can turn your pc into a DVR. And you can route the video output back to a tv so you can watch what you recorded on the TV. WHY WOULD ANYONE SIGN UP WITH TIVO for their features which are easily done with other free altnernatives. ? ? ?
