TJ Maxx ripoff sold counterfit Louis Vuitton as real Ballwin Missouri

I work for Winners (WMI) a Canadian subsidiary of The TJX Companies. They also operate TJ MAXX, HOME GOODS, MARSHALLS, TK MAXX IN EUROPE AND WINNERS/HOMESENSE/STYLESENSE IN CANADA.

As the world's largest off price retailer the company has buyer's strategically placed throughout the globe. They have stayed away from designers like Luis Vuitton, Versace, Gucci, D&G, Chanel, Coach et al.

The banner for which I work, Winners launched THE RUNWAY AT WINNERS. Which includes appareal and accessories from the labels listed above. They purchase close outs, cancelled orders as well as direct product purchase agreements with the likes of Perry Ellis, Kenneth Cole and Tommy Hilfiger to name a few.


Every precaution is taken to minimize the amount of counterfeit product and the company has a dedicated line for management to notify the company of any suspected fraud.

It is quite possible that the bag was purchased from an ex employer who knows the in's and out's of how the company codes prodcts.

It is possible for a customer to have purchased the genuine item, bought a knock off and returning that item.

Since the company is truly global with profits in the billions and over 1000 stores through all banners they would ever knowingly sell knock off products and take a chance at ruining their reputation.

I bought my rolex at tj maxx for $100 and it too turned out to be a fake. What a ripoff.

To the lady who said she pruchased a fake Louis Vuitton handbag at TJ Maxx. Let me say this. Louis Vuitton handbags, and I am talking REAL AUTHENTIC LV's are not only hard to come by here in the states, but in Europe as well. If you look at the manufacturer's website, you will find out that there are four stores here in the US which carry their merchandise. These are Louis Vuitton boutiques, select MACY's stores, Bloomingdales and Saks Fifth Avenue.

Being the spouse of an active duty military member, I have seen just about every other woman that I run into on the base with a "Louis Vuitton" handbag. One of every 100 out there are the authentic "real" deal. I would also like to say, that this is also an instance of getting what you pay for. Didn't it ever occur to you that $100 was incredibly inexpensive for a handbag made by a company which sells small wallets and Ipod covers for $650, and some handbags can cost over $2000?

In the local mall not too far from here, there is a kiosk type stand which sells handbags. They have handbags which sell like hotcakes which have the Louis Vuitton Logo on them. They are fakes and cost about $80. However, they are very good fakes of quite good quality. Someday go to ebay. Ebay constantly has complains about these "fake" bags, along with Manolo shoes, and Rolex watches. Exceptional quality, and with Rolex's some expert jewelers couldn't tell if it was the real deal or a fake, until they ran serial numbers. If something sounds way too good to be true, it usually is.

I work for the TJ Maxx Distrubution center in Pittston Pa. I will tell from experience that fake stuff does not come through the receiving door from overseas.

TJ MAXX is one of the most respected and trusted clothing stores in the industry. As far as my wife knows, they don't even sell the real thing. But if they did, it was probably bought, then a fake one substituted by the buyer, and returned to the store for a refund.
