When checking out on 8/26 the hotel demanded payment. I explained that I had paid. They claimed that they did not receive any payment from Travelocity. So I paid again. My Amex statement then showed 2 charges. When I complained the hotel (Best Western Edgewater Seward AK) refunded my money. BUT with this mistake I realized that the hotel rate was CHEAPER than Travelocity who charged me $ 192.58 whereas the hotel's rate was $ 173.60 .
When I wanted to complain and ask for a refund I had a lot of hassle from Travelocity reps. They pretended NOT to understand my complaint finally the 3rd rep admitted that Travelocity may be higher !! and hung up on me. I will not use Travelocity again.
