TRS RECOVERY SERVICE, SCREWED BY TRS HOUSTON Texas

I recently received a letter claiming NSF from Wal-Mart for a 25.14 purchase, plus 25.00 NSF fee. I followed their rules to dispute said claim by writing a letter within the 30-day time limit (I wrote it the next day). I never heard a word from them til I received a letter in the mail from our states attorney to enroll in their suspicious and illegal check writing program. If you receive a collection attempt from these idiots, you better pay or it will cost you. I now have to pay 25.14 + 25.00 + 35.00 filing fee to total $85.14 plus take a class at a cost of $140.00 for finicial advice + a $10.00 processing fee for a total of $235.14. Absolutely ridiculous.

I paid to keep my credit in good standing, but it wasn't even me who wrote out the check, it was my wife (God bless her)...but they came after me like a shark feeding in bloody water. I wrote to dispute, never heard a word till I received the letter from our states attorney. When I called to discuss the matter, their operators are rude and extremely willing to argue. They will not concede any point and you're screwed.

So learn from my mistake...pay up fast or it may cost you ten times (nine in my case) to get yourself out. This company represents Wal-Mart collections for Telecheck. As for me and mine...I am shopping somewhere else from now on. I have written another letter to TRS to complain about their handling of this matter, however I included a line stating that I am sure I won't hear a word back from them due to there ineptness and red-neck hillbilly way of running to court rather than having their people actually try to work things out!
