TRX Alliance Doug Hughes. Owner Product misrepresented as comprehensive Tax Preparation Software Murfreesboro, Tennessee

I have used TRX software for the last couple of years.  However, for the 2012 tax year, TRX developed a home grown tax preparation software package they call TaxExact?  However, it is far from exact. I had numerous issues with this software from moment I received the CD.  From calculation errors to numbers not aligning properly on the tax forms, to issues with check boxes, the software is seriously deficient.  It appears to me that this software was never even beta tested before it was released!  

The Form 1065 business return has not been finalized yet and here it is February 17th!!  There does not seem to be any way to file the state returns electronically, yet the company advertised full e-file capability.  Even when I tried printing a New Jersey individual return the numbers did not align properly in number fields on the tax form.

As other people have said here and elsewhere, customer support is virtually non-existent.  When you do get someone on the phone, they have no clue how to help you or how to resolve the problem.  I think it is time to bite the bullet and dump this tax package for something that works!  I'll ask for a refund, but based on comments from others it doesn't look good.  Maybe it is time for a class action lawsuit against TRX.
