I 'retired' from this company because I could no longer put up with the degrading of its members and former members. I poured almost two years of hard work and my own money into this company. I retired as a member in good standing and fully expected to receive the retirement payments as promised. I had no ill will towards the company, it's members, or it's programs. I thought the programs were good ideas and would bring an income to me as I was still a member of those and advertising them faithfully.
Then came the bombshell. December 2003 (the same month I retired)I was locked out of all accounts, without notice!! Because I joined a program that was comprised of former TTL members, I was suddenly black-balled from all current and future programs that were under the Blacktop China/TTL/SSS network. I never received any explanation of why my accounts were locked. Through other "retirees" I learned that anyone who joined this group of former members was considered to be "harming" TTL and would have all accounts blocked, downlines removed and would receive no retirement payments.
I am not the only person that this has happened to. I know several in the same situation. I am owed retirement payments from January 2004 to date.
What I also did NOT see were the Thimbles that I was suppose to receive for being a member of "The Thimble Club" I paid $10. each for thimbles that I have never received. The reason stated was that the "certificates of authenticity" had not been created yet. I've waited for nearly a year for those certificates to be created. I don't believe they ever will be. I'd still like to have my thimbles. I was a member of the Thimble Club from March 2003 through December 2003. So, I am owed at least 8 Thimbles.
I worked very hard to make TTL, This Team Leads, Simple Stepping Stones, etc great profit and income earners, but am denied the benefits of that. I did receive $200 in November 2003, the first & last payout I ever received. This despite the fact that I contributed over $300 of my own money to keep the company afloat during the early building stages.
I and many others worked tirelessly and endlessly for nearly two years to build a great marketing team and some good programs. When the big money started flowing, the Founder who holds all keys to the income but would not be held accountable for it in any fashion, becan summarily finding reason after reason to squeeze out those whom had built his company to a profitable level.
Be warned that if you join any programs affilitated with Blacktopp China, Mike Blacktopp, SSS, Simple Stepping Stones, The Team, This Team Leads, etc you will probably not see any income. In fact, you'll more than likely lose income. You are required to remove yourself from any program that is not affiliated with Mike Blacktopp. He also states you will never have to "pay to join" a program again, but several of us did pay out of our own pockets because we believed in the company and we believed in Mike Blacktopp. We were wrong.

If one looks at the success rate for people who buy gym memberships, it would be a clear scam. There is no doubt, when a whole industry has nearly a 90% failure rate, it has to be a scam. Right? Or is it that the beneficial effects of diet and exercise are irrefutable and the results lie with the gym members themselves. For the people who do not get results fall along a continuum of those who quit right away and those who don't quit, but follow a regiment that would never lead to success. Those closer to the latter category probably don't seek advice nor follow it.
The same is true for the Team business, except that the success rate is substancially higher than gyms. Nevertheless, like the gym, ultimately success is to follow a proven regiment and to seek advice and training from people who have the success.
You see, I floundered in the Team business and with the gym for a lot longer that I care to admit to, but on both fronts I am experiencing much better results because I sought after the right advice and training. I am much healthier and have a growing business.
I understand those who experience frustration -- I did. What I found that works for me is to take the bull by the horns for I am the only one responsible for my success. And to complain is to no avail.
Thanks, I hope this helps anyone seeking information. If you are not likely to work the Team business as hard as you would work a gym to get in great physical shape, you won't get in great financial shape.
