TWX MAGAZINE SUBSCRIPTIONS RIP OFF SCAM INCLUDING UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES TO MY BANK DEBIT CARD ACCOUNT New York, Internet

(MISTAKE #!): I purchased some clothing items as a Christmass present for my wife from a company called ROMAN'S. I used my KING-SIZE credit card to pay for the items. (Roman's is the "sister company" of King-Size Direct).

(MISTAKE #2): At the conclsuion of the on-line transaction, I was promted/notified that I was eligable to receive a "FREE GIFT" in return for my purchase so I decided to take advantage of the so-called "Free Gift". The "GIFT" was my choice of three (3) magazine subscriptions, however there was a catch.

(MISTAKE #3): The catch was that I would be required to pay a one time $2.00 "processing fee". To do this, I provided my BANK DEBIT CARD ACCOUNT NUMBER. The 3 magazines I selected (for my wife to enjoy) were: "I LOVE CATS", "COUNTRY LOG HOMES", and "TV GUIDE".

Three months later, (after receiveing only ONE ISSUE of "I LOVE CATS"!), my Bank Debit Card was charged $30 for a "SUBSCRIPTION RENEWAL"! This $30 charge cause my checking account to occure at least one OVERDRAFT FEE of an additional $32!

I called the phone number my bank gave me, 877-789-1033 (TWX MAGAZINES , NEW YORK) and found out what the $30 charge was for and had them cancel ALL 3 MAGAZINE SUBSCRIPTIONS which will hopefully solve the problem, HOWEVER, I have read several reports on the internet claiming that  this WILL NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM, that they will in fact CHARGE my account again and again despite my attempts to STOP this obvious SCAM!

BOTTOM LINE: I blame ROMAN'S for this! Why? Because they must be fully aware of this scam by now and they are a party to it!!! In fact it would not surprise me at all if they get a KICKBACK from TWX (or are actually one in the same compnay / all connected and owned by the same group of crooks). That would be somthing for the Attorney General of new York to look into!
