I am letting anyone who has any doubt in there mind that they want to go to txu please do not. First off their rates at 19 cents per killowatt and that is ridiculous right there but that is a whole different subject. I had txu for a year and i recently recieved a bill for way higher than what my prior bills were. When i contacted them they notified me I was on a energy program which makes your bills lower in the summer and higher in the winter.....okay i accepted it. Then i recieve a bill for 126.00 so I paid it. A week later a recieved a disconnect bill in the mail stating if I dont pay them 495.00 they will disconnect my electricity. So i called them they stating that i told them to remove me from the average billing plan........Now why would i do something like that so my bill would go up that high?! So my husband talks to an agent named sarah and she notified that she would fix the bill and it would take 24 hours. I call back 24 hours later and my bill goes from 495.00 to 567.00! So now i call them not too happy in my tone. I speak to a supervisor named Carla who states that she will have to wait for my next billing cycle to take place before she can fix my bill. Once the next bill is comes out i call them to make sure the bill is fixed. Not to my suprise it wasn't and so i asked them that if i wanted my bill to be changed could they please pull up the call log and listen to the call. They refused to do so. So now I am stuck with a ridiculous bill that I have to pay for because of an error on their behalf. It gets better though!! They wanted me to know that they gave me a wonderful extension of 1 week to pay this bill even though they sent me 2 bills without this amount on it...one online and one through the mail!! The customer service skills are horrible at this company and they totally disregard the customer. I work for a large corporation and if we ever made changes to an account without the customers say so we get fired but at this company all they do is apologize as if they are reading for a script. I do not recommend this company for anyone. I am 22 years old and have to double pay for a mistake made by TXU or my lights will be cut off....Not to add that i already paid the bill they had sent me. So on this note please do not go to txu!! Their rates are just too high and they do not make their employees accountable for their actions.
