I have been a custormer of Tan Your Hide for many years. I moved out of the city for 3 years. I moved back 6 weeks ago. I went to Tan Your Hide and signed up for a 10 months of tanning. I paid over $400. I went back to Tan Your Hide the following day of signing up to cancel my membership. My husband and I were having to move out of state. I paid the membership with a credit card. I was told someone would contact me that evening or first thing in the morning. I never got the call. I waited several days and no call. I finally called. I was denied a refund. I was told, if I would have paid from a monthly deduction out of my bank account I could have canceled. I was told I had 3 days to cancel from the time of signing. I was told to find someone to buy the membership from me. I requested to speak to upper management. I was told that was not possible. I was given an email address. I emailed the owner and have not received a response. This is not right. I requested a copy of the paperwork I signed and was not given a copy as of yet. I have been given the run around. It looks like I will have to contact a Lawyer. I will contact the BBB and the Attorney General. This is just wrong!

We have a very clear and written cancellation clause on both the rct that this member signed, and on our front desk. It states "no refunds"

Also this member did not sign any contract, but asked specifically to pay her membership in full, even though the option to pay over time was explained to her. There were many memberships discussed, as well as minutes and this member chose the 10 month membership, and to pay in full.

We offered to give her lotions and other tanning packages for this money. We have refunded most of the money accept for what was used, the retail purchased, and the new package which she chose to tan on instead.

This member was also contacted back right away by the Manager of the store, but wanted someone higher to respond to her. There was no paperwork to get a copy of because again there was no contract signed. There was absolutely no run around, and no ignoring of this issue. There are 9 locations and over 6000 members. It sometimes take a couple days to get back to someone.
