They provide offers in mobile apps that have in game currency. The offers range from things like download this app and receive xxx game points to sign up for this pre-paid credit card and receive xxxx game points.

Well, I have used several games with TapJoy and none of their offers ever yield the game points they promise. Along with that, many of the offers are for malicious mobile applications that can call and send sms messages that cost the user money. The entire app whenever I encounter it feels spammy anyway. After sending in several support tickets, I still have not received any help after several days of waiting.

Tapjoy

AUTHOR: SaadTapjoy - (United States of America)

Hi Larry,

Thank you for your honest input,  Tapjoy values customer input to help resolve any issues. Let me address your concerns.

There maybe rare instances where a customer doesn't get credits, here are a few reasons

1) A drop in communications via WiFI or data channel
2) Server to server signalling, eg the advertiser server not being able to send info that you completed the offer. For every offer you take that the advertiser sends your a confirmation email. The support agent requested you to send that over so we can escalate to the advertiser on your behalf to get you your credits.
3) Your web browser timing out.

There are a lot more reasons, but that's when we try and help to get the customer their credits.

I am  looking into your ticket to determine which one you have credits for, if you could respond to those which you were requested a confirmation email, I would appreciate it so we can get you your credits. I have personally given you credits for CoolSaving from my budget.

The Apps.

Most apps will warn you of what they need access to on your device in order to run. You can always decide not to install those app. It would be malicious if a app never warned about what it needs access to. For example most apps do need access to your device ID in order to ID the device that the credits need to be delivered to, that would be personal data. Also please understand that Tapjoy vets any app before we allow them to be partners, so Malware is not an issue, because honestly Tapjoy cannot and will not allow it's customers to be exposed to these concerns that you rightfully have.

Please let me know if you have any more concerns or questions I can address. You can also send me direct email at [email protected] If you would like me to call you to go over all of this please send     me your contact info via email and I will call you.

Regards

Saad

I received support on some tickets and still have some questions.

AUTHOR: braveally - (United States of America)

Hello Saad,

Thank you for replying here. It shows that Tapjoy does care about their reputation. Since I have filled this report, contacted tapJoy both through the support in app and through the website, I'm glad to say I have received report for several of the tickets I put in. Some of the tickets have credited me my game points while others say they need more information. Nonetheless I am happy I have finally received a response. After three days of nothing I started to get concerned which prompted my posting on this site and other methods of getting your attention.

My next complication in with offers like "subscribe to google offers, and register at coolsavings.com" how exactly do those work? I really never get anywhere with those. I just sent in a support ticket with the following ID: 3884033 if you can look into that personally I would be very appreciative. That should be for coolsavings.com. I registered at the site, viewed several offers on the site, opened the email they sent me (from my phone). There was no need for a reply, but I did anyway and still nothing as far as I can tell. Please let me know if I am doing something wrong when attempting to complete these particular offers that are outside the normal range of download and try the app.

Some of the applications I am suspicious about include: Parallel Kingdom AOT (send sms that can cost you money), Lucky Bingo (read contact data), Woodland Adventures (access personal info, contacts and logs. Why?) I am pretty hesitant to download apps that need such permissions as I can't afford malware to charge me any money and stealing my personal information. If you can let me know specifically why these apps need these permissions, I would feel more comfortable. Otherwise please understand my reservations.

For reference, here are all the previous support tickets I have put in (remember some have been resolved, not sure which though):

3883812, 3863062, 3863065, 3863120, 3863121, 3863291, 3863294, 3863296, 3863332

Tapjoy

AUTHOR: SaadTapjoy - (United States of America)

Hi Larry,

My name is Saad and I work for Tapjoy. Let first apologize for any issues you re having in getting credits in your apps. Tapjoy is a legit company serving millions of customers without issues. Tapjoy investigates it's partners apps before allowing offers in them, you state "many of the offers are for malicious mobile applications", can you send me a list of apps you think are doing this because this not the case what so ever. You also state you have contacted Tapjoy can you please send me the ticket numbers so I can investigate and get you a resolution. Send those over to me at [email protected]

Thanks

Saad
