Target Distribution filing workers compensation claim, retaliatory discharge? ripoff Lugoff South Carolina

I recentley filed workers comp with Target Distribution.

My normal work hours ar sat-sun-mon (3-12's) off the rest of the week.

I moved into a new work department (sept) soon there after my hand and forearm started hurting.

It actually started going numb. During the week while I was off it did not hurt so I thought It was me getting use to the new job functions. In late Oct early Nov I was able to work overtime up to 60 hours per week. Then my hand and forearm really gave me problems.

I reported it they filed workers comp (11-20-2006). I was hesitant to file and actually was going to go to my own doctor because I knew some other workers there that had filed and as soon as the doctor released them each one was fired for one reason or another. Others on WC are having lots of problems.

I was questioned repeatley at work from everyone from hr to the group leaders. All wanted to know why I waited so long to report the incident. I told them that there was no actual incident and tried to explain. I also told them how many times I had went by our nurses office (which was never there) on the weekend before I was able to catch her in there.

Dec 4th I was given a final counseling for negligent conduct the failure of a team member to report an accident . So the writting is on the wall as soon as I am released I know that I will be terminated also for what ever reason they decide to use.

I have carpal tunnel and shoulder tendinitis. I am on light dutie and catching the devil at work.
I have used all 40 hours of my vacation time in the past 3 weeks. Took me all yr to save that much up.

I don't know what to do. They had me cleaning (sweeping and dusting warehouse racks) this pass work day. How embarassing. Now everyone knows when they should have tried to keep it confident.

It just goes to show that companies can do what ever they want because they have the money to do so. I don't have money hardley for groceries. I did not ask for this. I try to work and get treated with a umbrella of suspicion. I did not think It could happen until it happened to me

There is a new Distribution center opening in Savannah GA. Now I will not be able to transfer.
