Target National Bank holds online payments to create late fees Souix Falls, North Carolina

Target Bank held my online payment several days, posted it late and charged me a late fee. Over the next three months, two customer service representatives and one customer service supervisor agreed this was true and told me they would get the fraudulent late fee reversed. 

Target Bank stopped sending me invoices for the late fee. 

Nine months later I discovered Target Bank charged off my account as a $25.00 loss and lowered my average credit score by 50 points. Not only was the late fee fraudulent, to charge off a fraudulent debt is also illegal.

Target Bank has "generously" offered to accept my payment for just under $25.00 "to bring my account to zero balance owed." Payment is, of course, an admission that I owe the money that was fraudulently charged to my account.

But what really sucks is this payment does not reverse the Charge Off which stays on my credit report for seven years.
