My elderly next door neighbor bought the TASK FORCE - Electric Pressure Washer - over a year ago (Approx). Model TF1600 S/N 0908071329M Task Force service phone # off label 1-866-788-5598 The pressure washer worked 3 or 4 times without any problems - then - it stopped working.
I took the back cover off the washer to see what was wrong. What I found was either Totally Incompetent Engneering - OR - Deliberately Designed To FAIL. You are wondering what I found. When the wand handle is released - the pressure plunger (spring-loaded) compresses the spring and in turn depresses a lever switch to cut off the power to the pump to avoid damage to the unit. This part of the design is okay. The incompetent part of the design is that the neddle plunger is made of Brass.
Was the plunger made of brass to cut down on rust build-up? If so, it is a lame excuse. [continued below]....
just like many manfacturing industries - my question is - are the engineers woefully incompetent - OR - are they engineers of deliberate malfunctioning parts "EXPERTS"? GO FIGURE!
