This Company is completely ridiculous, they over charge their customers by 30% sometimes more just to make a profit off the sale. They receive parts from places at a discount and still feel the need to mark up their prices.

They also don't take taxes out of everyones check , only certain employees, but yet they say we have to be there from 8-5 , sometimes not getting paid on time, asked to stay late but not offer to pay for the extra hours.

On many occasions I have not been able to get a hold of the owner, he is always out of town (hiding from his creditors) . I think this company needs to be shut down, its ridiculous how they treat their clients and employees.

Are you capable of telling the truth?

John,  or Chris or Whatever your name is...Is this Techscaler? Tech10 Networks?  call John Christopher Allman at 214-762-6538 and see if your calls are ever returned...

Scam artist you ought to be ashamed of yourself.  How many trusting people have you ripped off?  How many more people will you hurt in your quest to be a big shot businessman?  you have no conscience and no moral compass.  Your sins against others will be revisited upon you.  I hope you enjoy the fruits of your labor...or lack there of...

A list of wronged clients and contractors in soon to materialize...How will you answer the charges once all of your dirty little secrets are laid bare for the world to see?

Run to Plano Chris...Hide because a lawsuit is coming your way.

Techscaler is a Nightmare of empty Promises. I agree with Mike Keller

AUTHOR: Disgruntled_Ex_Employee - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, July 12, 2012

Do yourself a favor and steer clear of Techscaler and Tech10 Networks which is the newest shell company owned by (Chris) John C. Allman.  I worked at Techscaler for a short time but the stories sound eerily familiar to the stories conveyed by Mike Keller.

I watched as customers were frequently charged for products that wouldn't be delivered for months and sometimes years to come.  There was a Priest that worked at the Diocese of Laredo...The Poor Priest was foolish enough to rely on Techscaler to deliver the equipment he needed for his school and Churches.  The equipment was still not delivered when I left.  The Priest (Alex Stringel) lost his job as result of the delay.  There were also multiple instances of "Contractor" Employees that were denied their pay, exploited by being required to work with out compensation, or with the promise of pay that never came.  I saw customers billed excessively for IT services that the "Engineers" couldn't perform because they were never trained to do the tasks, nor did they ever have any type of certifications to do the work they were tasked to perform.  On many instances the owner would ask the staff to pay out of pocket for training, or travel and assure the costs would be reimbursed and that was also another lie.

The saddest part is that Techscaler and Tech10 Networks has a very charismatic owner that can utilize his charm to the get people he employes to go the extra mile for him and his vendors seem to look the other way on all his empty promises of payment for the avalanche of debt he has incurred.  Chris takes care of his family in lavish style on the backs of his underpaid and ripped off employees,  his countless burned vendors, and numerous creditors that relentlessly harangue his staff looking for Chris...

He's known as "Waldo"  due to his disappearing act when it's time to make payroll.  I know that there are at least 6 employees that left who were owed significant back pay.

As for the customers and vendors foolish enough to continue doing business with these clowns...Know that Chris or one of his children are very likely driving a new Mercedes Benz with the money that is owed to you...

Rebuttal to Owner's comments

AUTHOR: KellerM - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, April 12, 2011

I do agree with the owner that profits drive business. There would be no economy without mark-ups and profit margins. However, I know that it is unethical to fraudulently purchase products from the manufacturer as an "upgrade" in order to receive a discount, then turn around and sell that product at full price mark-up to their customers.

Another unethical practice used by TechScaler is misrepresentation of their service team. Upon my hire, I made it clear to everyone in the company, including the owner, that I had no experience servicing Mac computers. Service contracts were then sold to clients on the basis that I was a "Mac Guru", and would be able to assist with any issues that arose.

As a contractor for TechScaler, my personal phone number was given to clients to call for any emergencies, while no compensation was given for my increased phone usage charges. In addition, when my contract began, I was told that I did not need a car, as all clients I was responsible for servicing would be within walking distance in the downtown Portland core. After a few weeks, I was then told that a vehicle would be required if I wanted to continue working for Techscaler

I was repeatedly asked to work long hours (one day in particular was a 17-hour day) and had to fight tooth and nail to receive pay for all the hours worked. More often than not, the owner would be "out of town" on the agreed upon pay date, and I would have to wait up to an extra week for my pay.

When I was offered a permanent position with another company (which I took), I made multiple attempts to collect my final paycheck over the course of two to three months before taking the owner to small claims court. I won the case, and was able to garnish the company's bank accounts for a significant portion of what was owed to me.

This comment barely scratches the surface of poor business practice that I experienced and witnessed during my 4 month tenure as a contractor for TechScaler, but it serves to demonstrate the type of business that the owner operates. Before doing business with this company, or with any other for that matter, do your research and make sure you truly are getting your money's worth. Caveat emptor!

TechScaler Business Standards - Owner Response

AUTHOR: TechScaler - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, February 15, 2011

TechScaler has been in business since 2003.  We pride ourself on good business practice and good business relationships for the long term.  The originating report is from an individual whom left the company.  To respond to the comments of the report please see review the following.  Yes we mark parts up and yes we do buy at discounts.  Profits margins are how we make money.  Sales people are expected to work 8-5 and beyond when required to meet customer needs which is why they get commission payments for the sale.  We take out taxes and pay taxes on employees, we do not take out takes on 1099 contractors.  When contractors get hired as employees they start getting taxes withheld.  Anyone that needs to get a hold of me (owner) can.  I am accessable by email or phone whether I am in town our out of town.  If a creditor is trying to get a hold of me it is actually very simple, as their calls are returned.   We work hard to be a great company.  TechScaler Owner
